SPN-J2 Big Bang: Art for "The Zoo" by Scaramouche
I am so excited to share my art for "The Zoo" a Sam/Kevin werewolf AU by dachinchilla/scaramouche/Annie D in the spn_j2_bigbang! It's a gorgeous story and I was thrilled to be able to work with one of my favorite fic authors; I may have screamed a little when I found out whose story I'd claimed.
Hahahaha TWO YEARS LATER the rest of the art is finished.
This was a fun style to work with. I love art nouveau style fanart but haven't had much of a chance to try it myself before now. And it was good practice in using mostly shading and contours instead of black lines. It took me five or six tries to get Kevin's face too look like himself; I went through several versions of "well, it's definitely a black-haired boy so there's no one else it could be, but..." before finally arriving at proper Kevin.
