The other day at work I was told I was not fired. I had been late the previous week and I figured they were going to fire me so when my supervisor told me they were giving me another chance I breathed a sigh of, well, not relief I guess. I breathed a sigh.
So instead of firing me they changed around my vacation days like I told them too. Those cowards. Too afraid to fire me, eh? One more chance? I'll take as many chances as I need. Bank of America is NOTHING without me. NOTHING.
And My Band finally has a real show lined up. We are headlining, too! But for some reason we are headlining it at 5:30. And the show starts at 4:00. And a bunch of bands are playing after us. Imagine that! We've finally made it to the big time. I remember back when we were just a bunch of punk kids dicking around and playing the music we love... Now we just play whatever gets us paid. That's what music is really about. Selling out for maximum profits! Annual revenues skyrocketing. I know you naive idealist liberals are saying, "It should be about the music man! You sellouts! Metallica made a music video!! Sell outs!" Wake up. We have shareholders to think about. In the future, bands will wear a ton of ads just like Nascar drivers. We're just ahead of the game. We are getting while the getting is good! Striking while the iron is hot! A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush! Unless it has bird-flu. Which it probably does. and global warming doesn't exist. It's a hoax! the petroleum geologists know. And they're scientists.
