Tonight's heart aches at length
stretching with birdsong and
summer's sweet stench

Away and all the sights are
a bachelor's mind
slept next to the wrinkles
from routine body's heat

tossed are
the mates of
the birds
who died in mirrored reflections
chromed bars and lights
or sharp blades of teeth.

The ones to my ear
are left to
continue to
sing paeans.

Here, eye, take my heart
the ears cannot hold
its song

Only tonight
can be reached
stretched out on smooth
pavements

Chirped to the cold
and dead ones stretched out
a bachelor's sight

Summer sweet

stench

loved,

gone.
