I'm still in shock. I really am. I cannot believe that Lucie Jones was in the bottom two on X Factor tonight, much less that she went home. She gave the best performance of anyone in the bottom two so far this season yet Simon still chose to save the twats.
Lucie was just so crushed. Her crying early killed me. And then seeing Dannii's reaction to it, as well. She was devastated and told Lucie it was her fault, which it so wasn't. Oh Lucie, my poor bb.
The outrage that everyone is feeling goes far beyond Lucie being wrongly voted off, though. Simon Cowell has just put every ounce of integrity the show has on the line. And I'm predicting a huge backlash tomorrow - the press are definitely going to be all over this. First and foremost, Simon's actions say that X Factor is about the judges winning rather than the contestants. Secondly, that the show is fixed with the twins still being there. I completely lost all respect for Simon tonight.
I now am putting all of my loyalties behind Stacey and Team Minogue and of course Cheryl and Joe. Olly is still my favorite but I just cannot support one of Simon's acts. I hope Danyl and Jamie are in the bottom two next week and then Danyl can GTFO!
Poor Dannii. She's gonna be torn up about this forever.
