Character: Lelouch Lamperouge/Lelouch Vi Britannia, "Zero", "Lulu" Fandom: Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion Appearance/Personality: Lelouch is around 5'10, with black hair and purple eyes. There's nothing particularly exceptional about the way he looks - he is simply himself. When not at school, Lelouch seems to prefer to wear somewhat simple clothes - a jacket, a t-shirt, and a pair of smart trousers. When acting as 'Zero', he will swap these for a far more theatric and noble looking all-in-one suit, and a cloak, alongside a mask which conceals his identity from those he works with.
Lelouch is an intelligent young man, who has a high degree of determination and perseverance when it comes to those things that he feels strongly about. He is able to, almost always, correctly guess the actions of others, whilst likening these actions to a game of chess, often referring to an action that places another into an area of defeat, as 'checkmate'. Besides his mental ability, he has, through the actions of 'C.C', the gift of 'Geass', which manifests itself as the ability to order a person to do exactly as he wills. This, however, is effective only once, on a person, and lasts only until they have fulfilled that which he has ordered, or questioned.
Lelouch is an apathetic boy to most situations, with his only particularly recurring emotion being that of hatred for the Britannian Empire, and wishing for its destruction. He wishes almost solidy to create a world without the Britannian Empire, without the discrimination against the weak that it has brought with it. It is his deep attachment to his sister that brought this feeling about, after he and she were exiled from their family to Japan. After it was attacked, and subsequently colonised by the Britannians, Lelouch's hatred for tem - his family - grew, and developed into what it is today, wishing to destroy it anyway he can.
Asides from these feelings, Lelouch is a rather cold person overall, letting very few close to him. Those few that are close to him, besides his sister, are very 'lucky', if it can be viewed in the at manner. However, even those that he are close to, that he considers as friends, are not exempt from his nature to lie and manipulate to his advantage, or what he views as best for them.
He will often become bored, and gambles as a result, using his ability to reason and figure out others responses to his advantage, often preferring to play chess rather than any other game.
Lelouch, whilst he has a determined personality, he puts little to no effort into those things that he does not care about, having a somewhat apathetic nature. He can be incredibly manipulative when he knows that doing such a thing will create a favourable outcome. However, should this endanger those he cares about, his beliefs and thoughts are subsequently thrown into turmoil, leaving him in a vulnerable, and emotional state.
History: Lelouch attends Ashford Academy, which is an exclusive school primarily for rich Britannians. He goes by the name of "Lelouch Lamperouge" and appears to be a somewhat average 17-year old boy, disinterested in te majority of his studies, but clearly very intelligent, and with a gift for strategy, as shown by his skill in chess. However, despite these appearances, Lelouch is not 'average' by any means; He's surprisingly bitter about the world, given his age, and hates the very establishment of which he is a student.
It is revealed that Lelouch is, in actuality, Lelouch Vi Britannia - that is, a prince of the Royal Famile, who's Empire extends over 1/3 of the world. After his mother was murdered by unknown people, with the set up appearing like a terrorist attack, Lelouch confronts his father, claiming that he should have done something, that his mother was left defenceless and as a result, was killed, and his sister was left both crippled and blind. Lelouch's father responds simply by stating that he has no time for children's games, and then proceeds to exile both Lelouch, and his sister Nanaly to Japan as bargaining tools. Lelouch Vi Britannia is told to be dead; He, as a person no longer exists. It was whilst in Japan that Lelouch met his first friend, Suzaku Kururugi, son of the Prime Minister.
However, in the same year, the first true peace that Lelouch and Nanaly had experienced was shattered with Britannia's invasion of Japan, and the subsequent war. Japan was defeated, and renamed 'Area 11', and the Japanese people as 'Elevens'. The 10-year old Lelouch claims that he will enact revenge on the Britannian Empire and it's belief that those who are weak, are worthless. He wishes purely to provide a 'more perfect' world for his sister.
On what seemed to be an average school day, Lelouch and a friend - Rival - where travelling back to school when a vehicle driven by a pair of rebel Japanese, crashed. Whilst attempting to help the people in the crashed vehicles, he climbed in the back in an attempt to find a way to release them. It soon started travelling again, whilst the terrorists attempted to continue their activities, with the police, and then army, following. The vehicle travelled to the Shinjuku Ghetto, where it once again crashed, and was found by a Britannian soldier. This soldier turned out to be Suzaku, whom Lelouch hasn't seen in 7 years. Whilst recovering from their mutual shock at having seen each other, the capsule that the terrorists had stole opened. It was believed to contain poisonous gas, but upon opening, was revealed to contain a girl.
The rest of the army arrived, and Suzaku attempted to defend Lelouch from a particularly over zealous commander who wished for lelouch to be killed merely for being at the scene, despite being a Britannian student, and therefore not a terrorist. Suzaku was shot for this attempt. After this occured, the commander refocused his attentions on Lelouch, and as he aimed the gun to fire, the girl from the capsule jumped into the bullets path, receiving a shot to her head. As this happened, she suggested a deal with Lelouch, and in this deal, he would receive the power of the Geass, and this would allow him - or rather help him - to acheive his goal of destroying the Britannian Empire.
After receiving this power, Lelouch began to embark on his plan to destroy the Britannian Empire for his own gains. He allied with a group of Japanese rebels, and later formed his own unit, the Order of the Black Knights. However, none of these people know Lelouch's true identity; he parades as Zero wearing a mask to conceal his face so that none may know who he is.
Sample Post: ((I decided to set it after a scene in the anime. I hope that's not a problem.))
I-- C.C and I 'spoke' of the contract to which I agreed to when given the Geass. It's interesting to consider that when I first received this, I expected that I would be able to do anything and everything within my power to be able to change the world to one that is without the tyranny that currently engulfs one-third of it. I never expected that my emotions would cause me to falter as they have tonight. It would be a lie to say that I 'never thought' about those that were killed as a result of my actions, but the honest truth is that I thought about it, and didn't care. Apparently that lack of caring extends only to those that are not attached to those that I care about.
It's irritating to think that I could allow myself to be swayed by such a thing, to allow my decisions to become clouded by something that was, without a doubt, inevitable. To acheive an end like that for which I hope for, people are going to be hurt, but... It will be better in the end. The world will be more peaceful, there will be no one discriminating against those they claim are weak, just because they are told it is 'ok'. Even if there are those who are hurt in the beginning, that will soon end. There will be greater happiness when the result is gained, and that will outweigh the sadness that one has to face to reach that point. I just hope that Shirley will able to be happier now that this has taken place, and that little else will occur that will make her as confused and hurt as she was before these events took place.
Ty-chan? What the hell have you been doing? I've been gone for 2 days and you don't check on the mod journal. Sigh, this is why I'm the co-mod. Sorry this took so long to accept *glares at Ty-chan*
