I went to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned. The dental hygenist said "do you want an x-ray". I said "only if my insurance covers it". She said "if you haven't had one in the last year, it will be covered". I hadn't had one in the last 4 years. So I said "yes".
Two months later, the mystery bill arrives from the dentist. They want $71. I call and ask them why they want this. "The insurance didn't cover your x-ray". And I told them what I just wrote above. They said "well, they should cover it. You should call them". And I said "Shouldn't you call them. You are the one who wants the money, and the one who told me that this would be covered". They said "No, you should call them".
So I called them. And shock of all shocks--- 700 automated messages, and 400 numbers pressed into the process, they finally transfer me to a "customer representative". Of course, instead of getting a customer representative, I got a message saying, "we are sorry, our office is closed for the evening. Please call back tomorrow".
Then I drop kicked my phone in anger.
