I was just about to post a rant about my laptop, which from now on will be called Edward, dying on me on the second day of the new semester. No idea what I did after software-techniques, 'cos it was working just fine during the lecture, but when I got home it simply wouldn't boot. After trying everything I could think of, I removed the battery and put it aside. It sucks looking for a new laptop when you actually like the one you have. None matched my criteria, like is it's too much to ask for an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, a non-reflective display, a decent battery longevity and an nvidia graphic card with 512mb memory under 700 euro.
Anyway, a little while later I gave it a last shot and but the battery back in. Guess what, it worked! yay! Apparently something went wrong with the hibernate state.
Thinking about it, maybe Edward was telling me to stop playing around with my sims games and instead use the time to advance my studies.
