Hey its me...

So long update. I've dropped by with a few links, but I guess I haven't really informed on whats going on now.
School is progressing. I had an issue with the Project Management instructor. This guy was idiot to the extreme.

The semester started with general uselessness. We tried to pass it off. Figuring most classes start slow and it will pick up. We suddenly realized we were reaching mid-terms and hadn't really learned anything and we'd only handed in material worth 20% of our mark. We were also told we were to expect a final exam in the class and we couldn't possibly imagine what we could be tested on.

We had a long meeting with the coordinator. He thought it was important enough he called down the associate dean to listen to what we had to say. As far as we were concerned the class was a gigantic waste of time, he had no idea what he was doing, and I learned more Project Management from the chair in the coordinator's office.

We had situations arising that went like this:
"Do you want item X handed in with the report?"
"No"
*report returned with a comment: "Where is item X?"*
I kid you not. The rest of his direction on what should be included on what we had handed in to that point was about as clear. As a student how do you even begin to deal with that?

So the coordinator said he'd have a chat with him, which he did, and it was evident. The instructor became a sulking child after that. Lashing out at the classes. It finally degenerated to the point where he jumped on myself and the other student who'd gone to the coordinator in the middle of class. Then after ambushing us out of the blue and realizing we were ready to defend why we were dissatisfied he claimed we were attacking him, and ran off to the coordinator to claim we were mean to him. E-mails from the other half dozen students in the class ensued. A meeting was called for all parties.

Have I mentioned I love the new coordinator? The one last year was pretty so-so. Nice guy, but really didn't handle anything. At the meeting he didn't tell Mr Instructor that the associate Dean was going to attend. So the instructor panicked and showed his real colours. They agreed he shouldn't be teaching the class next year. He's also agreed to be clearer and provide better direction on what he expects.

I made a point of saying though that I wasn't going to put up with his childish behaviour and I couldn't trust my mark with him. Result? I dropped the class and I'm taking it e-learning. Oh will power hold out.

The stress level has dropped considerably. To add to that, I got a random $1000 scholarship in the mail last night. So yay for that.

uhm..what else...I've taken some pictures, need to upload them. Uhm..Heroes continues to rock me harder than words.

Torchwood (Doctor Who spin-off) started. Its 5 episodes in, its pretty sweet. Jericho is also going strong so far. It hasn't fallen into bad writing or anything yet.

I think that is enough to bury you in now.
