ARTIST SIGN UPS ARE NOW OPEN!
Please comment here to sign up to be an artist for the first round of disnick_bigbang.
Rules For Artists/Mixers/Media Makers:
- You agree to create at least one piece of art or media to accompany one of the 2012 DisNick Big Bang stories.
- Art can be of any type: original illustration, cover art, photo manip., fanmix, vid, etc.
- Art or media can be of any rating you choose (but out of consideration, it would be a good idea to consult with your writer before creating anything too explicit).
- When it is time to post, you will be able to post your artwork or media on your own journal or site, and we'll create a master list of links at the community. You may also send your artwork or media to your author and they can incorporate your art directly into their fic post. It’s your choice.
- You can sign-up to write fic AND create art/media if you like.
- Artwork/media cannot be posted prior to your assigned posting date.

Deadlines to remember:
You may sign up at any point between now and September 1st.
On September 2nd a list of story titles and summaries will be posted anonymously for you to claim as prompts on a first come, first served basis. Once you have claimed a prompt, you will be given the author's contact information, and you will be able to review the story draft for additional inspiration.
We will be running an Artist check-in this year. This is MANDATORY. This just means a post will go up on September 15th asking you to send an email to the mods letting us know about your progress. This is not to put undue pressure on you but to ensure that all fics will end up with some form of artwork with their stories - if you have nothing to present at check-in time, it may mean we will need to organize pinch-hit artists for those authors.
All artwork/media is due by October 1st and posting of the stories will run throughout the month.

All you need to do to sign-up is comment in this post with your username! After that, you're free and easy until summaries are put up in September for you to claim.
