Packing Post!!

I hate packing. It's hard. I have a lot of stuff, and it's hard for me to go through it all and decide what to take and what to leave behind. I am a packrat. I am emotionally attached to a lot of the stuff I own, most has its own little story, even the stuff that looks like junk.

no, I called them, and they said that they only have the $30 charge showing. As far as I can tell, they charged me the $30, and then they charged me the difference in our tab, $42.49. So I don't know if they do that to make sure the bill is covered until both cards go through? I don't know. But if it doesn't come off, you can bet your ass I'm calling them again and demanding my money back.

yeah, that's really weird. Nothing has posted to my credit card yet, but my receipt definitely says $30, and my credit card number is on there, so they definitely ran it through. Besides it doesn't make sense that they put the balance on yours, because they also took Amy's $20 and gave us change. So if that's the case, that's bullshit. They can't do that, run a credit card twice to make sure it goes through, that's total crap. Especially not when they take cash as well.

That's weird that they only have the $30 charge showing, though. Where the hell did the $42.49 come from, then? Definitely keep me posted.

okay, so I talked to BoA, and they were so much more helpful than Carrabas ever was. It seems they ran my card through after yours, and accidently charged the rest of the balance ($42.49) instead of just charging the $30 to it. They voided it, but it still put a hold on it for 3 business days. The hold should come off tonight, so it'll be like it was never there.

Ah, good. The $30 posted on Aug 3rd. Looks like that's what they must have done. I guess I could see that mistake happening. The only weird thing is that I got a receipt for $30. So she clearly typed the $30 in. The machine must have screwed it up. Weird. Well, at least it's fixed.
