Writing Challenges are Adictive (Who Knew?)
Having signed up for the Big Bang this year for the first time, I’ve now also signed up for the Spring Fling over on spn_bigpretzel. Super Exciting! The Spring Fling is also a first for me.
I’ve written ~25k words of my Big Bang so far. It’s coming along well, definite progress every day which is great for me since before I signed up for the Big Bang, I hadn’t written anything for fun in about 2 years!
My eventual goal is to finish these challenges and then complete Declarations of Innocents. I realize that most likely no one is reading that story anymore since it hasn’t had any new chapters in a very, very long time, but I haven’t given up on it. I’ll finish it one way or another, even if I have to take a week off work and go to one of those writer’s retreats I’ve heard about. The problem with that story is it requires a specific mind frame in order for me to write it and I’ve been having a difficult time getting there. I prefer to wait and get it right than to write something I’m not happy with just to get it done.
