Victoria was sitting in the quad with her books on the table, all spread out with a few highlighters and pens about. While the day was wonderful, with blue skies with a few white puffy clouds, she had to study. Her first test of the semester was coming! She turned her head to the side and blinked. Was....that a platypus? With a hat? Aw, he's cute! ...Or she...but....student or...?
"Hey...are you here to study? There's plenty of room," she gestured to the empty seats at her table. She wouldn't mind the company.

She looked over at the platypus as he glanced at her. She offered him a weak smile. "French homework. I know how to say French food like beignet...but trying to conjugate verbs? Not as much." she told him, glancing back at her textbook to glare at it a little.
"And the examples aren't helping that much."

"I'm Victoria by the way..." she said, after a moment of silence. She wondered if the platypus could talk, then again if it could...it would be speaking to her right now, wouldn't it?

He grinned amicably, and demonstrated the word she seemed stuck on, pointing to the second example and soundlessly demonstrating the way to make the letters work.

"Perry the Platypus..." Okay, so he did have a name. And she was right on the gender.
"Well, nice to meet you." she said with a smile. She was making friends all the over the place wasn't she? First a guy with magic, though she wondered if she would see him on campus again, reuniting with her best friend Lilo and becoming friends with Isabella. Now a platypus!
..One that was helping her with her French homework. Victoria beamed at him.
"Thanks!" she looked over the example and applied it to her French problem and tada! It worked. She looked back over at the green mammal. "You're really cool, Perry the Platypus."

He beamed happily, relieved to have been some help and saluted cheerfully, giving off a small victorious little chitter. Helping people was always its own best reward.
