Because Lilo and Phineas' muns were busy meta-playing this in AIM and Phineas' mun is far too lazy to sift through the log file, edit out their screen names, put things up in a journal and hope to god the muse doesn't die of embarrassment, a lot of followers of the story will have to go on hearsay and assumption for what happened last night. Let's just say it could have had a way better outcome than it did -- way better meaning what you want it to, in this case -- but obviously not meaning that in either case, for Phineas.
Phineas thankfully had no classes to go to, save for his morning Trig class, and that was done with, so he could focus intently on one important thing. What the heck he was going to do now that he wound up realizing what he had been doing in the first place. After a very nice quick date with Lilo, which wound up being a lot less PG rated than Phineas was planning, she'd called him out on something he'd pretty much been denying this whole time (by that, the narration means oh, about a decade), and he wound up having the need to
smooth things over with Lilo, before tackling That Big... Thing.
Right this moment, however, it looked like Phineas wasn't focusing on relationship woes. In fact, he looked more like he was measuring the dimensions of the quad and its lawn, using surveying equipment and a few people he rounded up to volunteer with him. He'd gotten permission to work on a fair for the weekend after next, so he was measuring to see exactly how many rides he could fit on the lawn without getting crowded. That's something he could do in his sleep, so whether or not he looked it, he actually was very busy, mentally, while looking busy with something else, physically. However, Phineas, being Phineas, is not too busy to be spoken to or dragged away momentarily from his calculations and mental flailings. After all, doesn't Phineas look a little too young to be using surveying equipment with such ease? Yes. Yes he does.
