Challenge 430
Rules:
- You may submit up to 5 icons by SATURDAY, September 10 (or until voting is posted on the next day). Please note you have two weeks to complete this challenge.
- You may not include any text or animation in your icons. Symbols such as !, @, *, ? and similar are not allowed. Tiny (unreadable) text is fine. Text present on the original screencaps is not allowed either.
- Textures/brushes etc. are fine.
- Blending is allowed.
- You must post your icons in a comment to this entry.
- You must post the icon itself & the URL to the icon.
Random: Technique grab-bag!
This time, we're going to do something a little bit different.
Basically, you are going to be assigned from one to five techniques (depending on how many icons you want to make), and you'll have to make an icon to represent each technique. For instance, if I give you Black & White, Close Crop and Visible Texture, you'll have to make one black & white icon, one icon with a close crop, and one icon which features visible textures.
So here's how to proceed:
1) Leave me a note under the "Grab a technique" comment below, with the number 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5, which represents how many icons you want to make. If you comment with "3", for instance, I'll give you 3 techniques, and you'll make 3 icons.
2) I'll answer as quickly as I can and give you the techniques, along with a small explanation and maybe even examples.
3) You make your icons and post them here as usual.

I've decided to give this challenge two weeks to make sure everyone gets the time to a) get their techniques and b) icon them. Plus I know September can get really busy anyways.
