Challenge 326
Rules:
- You must submit 10 icons by SATURDAY, January 18th, 11:00pm EST
- You may not include any text or animation in your icons. Symbols such as !, @, *, ? and similar are not allowed. Tiny (unreadable) text is fine.
- Textures/brushes etc. are fine.
- Blending is allowed.
- You must post your icons in a comment to this entry.
- You must post the icon itself & the URL to the icon.
Special challenge : 10 icons in 10 days (inspired by thejupitermako's idea)
I've decided that 2014 should start big (or big-ish), and this is how.
You may be familiar with the concept of 20in20 challenges : participants are given 20 days to make 20 icons, usually 10 themes, 5 following a special category (5 black and white or 5 icons using the same cap for instance) and 5 "Artist's Choice" (which are exactly that). So for our first challenge this year, we are going to do the same thing, but slightly smaller. Instead of 20 icons, you will only have to submit 10, and you'll have 10 days to do so (although I might extend the challenge if we don't receive enough).
You must submit :
THEME (five icons)
Icon 1 : Favourite - your favourite Disney character, your favourite Disney movie, your favourite scene...
Icon 2 : Villain - pretty straightforward, your icon's focus must be a villainous character.
Icon 3 : Red - your icon must be (mostly) red.
Icon 4 : Negative Space - your icon must feature negative space (see examples in our previous challenge)
Icon 5 : The Little Mermaid - the cap you use must be from the movie The Little Mermaid. You can find screencaps here for instance.
CATEGORY : One character (three icons)
Icons 6, 7 and 8 must ALL feature the same character (they can be from different movies/shows though, like Jasmin in Aladdin, Jasmine in The Return of Jafar or Jasmine in Disney Princess Stories).
(The vote for the category icons will be done in sets AND individually)
ARTIST'S CHOICE (two icons)
Icons 9 and 10 can be anything you want !!
Just remember : all icons must be hush (no text !).
