I want to move . . .

Jan 18, 2007 23:13

. . .to South America and join a tribe in the Amazonian rainforest, to join a tribe and live with them until my end of days. There's a movie called 'The Emerald Forest, on bbc4 which has the most beautiful representations on love, marriage, death and cremation. It's an amazing representation of how our (ie Western) civilisation collides with those civilisations that came before us. Somehow their lives are much more real than ours.

Our maybe I'm just a but pickled and am having a horrible foresight into how shallow life as I now it actually is. It's amazing what insight painful, drawn out ends(?) of relationships can bring.

Anyone care to join me?

[As a note, this movie took John Boorman about ten years to make, I think it deserves more attention than my lost and confused state, there's a good book about the making of it, here which I have a copy of at work should anyone else have seen it and be interested?
