[ While she hadn't been making a spectacle of herself, Esmeralda had definitely been putting work into the Arts building. At least, what she could. The gypsy was a hands on kind of girl, but not with anything modern, that'd been put into the building. Anything beyond basic structure was beyond her. Power tools? Nuh-uh. Never heard of them. Besides, the basics had already been finished---now it's just finishing touches.
Aside from that, the initial destruction of the building was a harsh blow. It was like her second home, away from Paris, that is. Her dorm? Merely a place to sleep. However, she decided to make the best of it. Looking at the bright side this time. Starting the rooms all over meant she could make the dance room a little more personal. Her collection of sashes and tapestries hung up brought a certain warmth to the room. A reminder of her home, and hopefully---a certain king and his court, sheltering her people. And after more than a few months of practice, and much to her dissatisfaction, without any help from the captive Quasi, a
few of these hung around the window in the dance room. They certainly weren't as nice, nor elegant as her friends, but they still caught and cast colorful light throughout the room and across the floor just around sunset. It reminded her of where they talked, a fond memory of her and her friend. She only wished it'd been something they made together.
And with her newfound sanctuary, back again with a bit more of herself embroidered into it's character, she can't forget who helped bring it back to her. So, securing a large banner of paper from the newly replenished stock room, a bit of paint, paintbrushes, and Djali, she's spending her afternoon in the golden light of the dance room painting out a big 'Thank You' she plans to hang sometime in the evening for the students and staff (at least, those who decided to stay for the summer.) to see when they woke up. Feel free to help her out, this girl's been a working girl. ]
