/Alright, enough sitting around in his room and reveling in happy Tulio. Miguel had to get out and see to some Serious Miguel Business. It wasn't something he particularly wanted to do -- he still had a few issues with the way the whole thing had begun in the first place -- but that had nothing to do with poor Chel. And who else could she talk to

She was actually just going through her room. She had a lot of free time lately--maybe it was her recent lack of socializing. Regardless, the abrupt knocking on the door does make her jump a little. Who would even...oh, it was Miguel. A relieved smile crosses her face, though she does hesitate a little.
Talking about Tulio? That's most likely what he wanted. Was she really in the mood to talk about that? No, talking about your boyfriend forgetting about you didn't exactly sound ideal. She lets out a sigh, she knew he could knock a long time...]
I know you can, what's your point?
[She hesitantly opens the door. Only because it's you, Miguel.]

/he swings his mandolin forward and waggles his eyebrows a bit/ And that would be a true tragedy, now wouldn't it?
Reply
So tragic...I don't even think I could find the words to describe how upset that would make me.

/brightens/ But fortunately you managed to avert that crisis rather neatly by promptly rescuing said knuckles. See? /he holds them up for inspection/ No damage!

[She gives a light giggle, gently pushing his hand aside.]
Yeah, yeah, I see your knuckles. You gunna play some music for me or did you just feel like knocking?

I guess I could let you in..for this occassion.
[She opens the door all the way and gestures for him to come inside.]
The floor is yours.

/he waltzes inside, giving her the eye as he does, and quietly begins to strum as he wanders about the room. It's been awhile since he's been inside it./
Tidying things up, I see?
Reply
Yeah...figured it'd have to get done eventually. What have you been up to?
...how's Tulio?

/Ah, she breached the subject, not him. It was good to see her perk up a bit, though/
Happy, which is good to see. After-- you know, everything, he's been a bit-- off. /All their unresolved issues that neither he nor Tulio ever wanted to talk about and therefore NEVER GOT TALKED ABOUT-- thus causing a cycle of never-ending guilt and bitter betrayal to circle between them./
/He looked up at her with genuinely sympathetic eyes, still strumming/ I wish it could be under better circumstances. But! He's Tulio. He's survived far worse; I'm sure he'll bounce back into his self-flagulating and overdrinking self in no time at all.

[Happy Chel is happy.]
Yeah...he stopped by the other day and we talked a little. He seemed like he was doing alright.
[She smiles, almost glad to have brought it up. Miguel was always optimistic...optimistic and persistent.]
Who would've guessed you'd be the one looking out for him?
[She thanks you, though ♥]

/He smiled./ And I'm glad to hear it. Truth be told it wasn't Tulio I was concerned about, oblivious as he is.
/he gives her a slight nudge/ I'm glad to see you're doing well with it. Better than I expected, in fact.
/that made him wrinkle his nose on a small laugh, sitting down on the nearest surface cross-legged/ Oh, indeed, and it's not the first time. I've nursed that man back to health many a-time. You don't want to be around him too terribly long when he's got the flu; he's a terrible drama queen, I'm afraid.

[She smiles to his nudge, tucking her hair behind her ear before sitting on the bed across from him. She didn't want to dwell on her hurt over it so much, even though she was pretty sure Miguel would give it his all to make her feel better.]
Don't worry about me, I'll be fine, Miguel.
...drama queen, huh?
[Alright, she's a little anxious to hear this one.]

/he scoots a little closer to her, shouldering his mandolin and hunching his shoulders/
Ohhh yes. Each sneeze is the end of his life, you see. I once made the mistake of giving him a bell to call me when he needed me.
/deadpan/
Never give him a bell.

[She gestures for his head but when he scoots closer, she just pokes his temple.]
I don't think I've seen him really si--
[She cocks her head, but laughs just a little.]
How many times a day did he ring it?
