[Out of all the strange and confusing things Dory's encountered since her move to the Academy yesterday, the communicator is the one thing that's most boggled her mind. She understands what it's for, but she can't seem to get it to work.
Or so she thinks.
You may or may not have noticed strange broadcasts over the past 24 hours: seconds-long glimpses of a room filled with books and papers, a flash of blue hair here and there, text-only messages consisting of things like "askjdhfkjahsd" or "GRRRRR7654697," or maybe even a disembodied voice grumbling about "stupid human stuff."
Her latest attempt at figuring the comm out has her staring straight into the lens with one blue-purple eye, so close that when she blinks her eyelashes hit the glass. After a moment she pulls it back and pouts, eyebrows furrowed in clear frustration.]
Is this thing on? Hello?
Hellooooooooooooooooooo?
[She taps the lens a few times, holds the device to her ear, then sighs and flings it onto her bed. The sound of her room door opening follows, and then there is yelling.]
HEY! IF ANYONE CAN HEAR ME, I THINK MY TALKY-THING IS BROKEN. IF YOU CAN FIX IT YOU SHOULD COME BY AND DO THAT. PLEASE. THANK YOU!
