Mes damoiselle et monsieurs; ladies and gentlemen- allow me to introduce myself. I am Clopin Trouillefou, King of the Truands, successor to the Grand Coesre, supreme ruler of the Kingdom of Argot, the Duke of Little Egypt, and most recently of all, your new Professor in Theatrical Theory!
[He gives a quick, sweeping bow. As he pulls himself upright, his hat falls back onto his head]
The first three classes are open to all students. If thou art a thespian, bring your friends! If you are the friend of an actor, bring your friends as well! If you have no friends, bring someone you have been meaning to talk to for some time!
Class begins at one o'clock exactly. If I am not there, assume I am setting up an ambush for tardy students.
If you miss a class, I will find you.
