It doesn't matter where they are. She doesn't care to look around, doesn't even check whether the ground's clean or not before she slumps down to her knees, hands balling up in fists on her lap.
Not a sounds escapes her, but as much as she fights to hold them in- there are tears. Not many, but enough to have her scrubbing her face with the back of her hand roughly, streaks of dirt smudging across her cheeks with the gesture.
She wasn't aware of how these things worked at all- as far as Astrid was aware, Hiccup was dead.
