TIME TO ACT LIKE BIG DAMN HEROES

[Another drill was the initial reaction, but he always checked and made sure that Ariel was safe and outside first and foremost. He smiled at his communicator as he checked in with her via the video-link, but his smile turned to a look of horror as he stared at the west fence. There were flames flickering -- not inside but OUTSIDE. And that smile? Definitely fire. He could barely believe he hadn't smelt it while on the inside of the building (good filtering system?)

A second later and he rushed into action. There were hoses for putting out fires in the Academy (and gardening) but would they reach all the way to the fence?!]

SOMEONE! Help me with the hoses! They're all around the building - help me detach them to make one big hose!

(OOC: I imagine we can get a couple of people on the hoses, and the KH peeps will be using magic 'n junk too? 8d)

[Fire? Noooot a probelm for this guy. Vin had already run outside at the sight of flames, ready and willing to help- so when he heard Eric yelling, he was quick to join him.]

They're all around! I'm not sure how many we'll need but get as many as you can-- get more people so we can do this faster! Do you have any water-proof tape?

[The latter part occurred to him when he was trying to fit two of the hoses together. Of COURSE they didn't screw together perfectly. >:|]

[You certainly asked the right guy, Eric. Digging through his pockets, Vinny extracted quite a few oddities- but no water-proof tape. He had an abundance of duct tape for whatever reason, but that would surely fall apart within short amount of time.

Still, better than nothing, right?]

No, only thees. [Without waiting for an answer, Vinny taped the two pieces of hose in his hands together, shoving one roll of the tape at Eric when he was done. Now it was time to fix some more pieces together, and hopefully pick up some helping hands on the way.]

Ahlright, ahm on it. [Moving as quickly as possible, Vinny continues to join pieces of hose together, ensuring the duct tape is laid on thick so that it stays there longer.

Along the way he picks up a helper, a silent for the most part, yet determined worker. He recognises her as one of the students, but doesn't really know much else about her- and he doesn't need to. She's helping, the job's getting done faster. That's all that matters.]
