[ She wouldn't be caught off guard this time. Not since her first brush with this damned Mist. While it wasn't exactly back and invading school grounds just yet, her twisted and knotted scars ached with the memory of Berk.
To assume Berk would be involved this time around was pure speculation, but better to be prepared for the worst than to assume it will be easy. The Mist had thrown everything she'd ever felt uneased about at her, and she expected no different for Astrid. While she wasn't exactly sure what this girl's worst fears were, she knew she was a tough cookie, and this fear had to be tougher than she was.
A well prepared warrior may not have the home advantage, but it was better than flying blind. Unfortunately, Helga was no longer in charge of the insturctional firearms from Marksmanship, not to mention, she'd been waiting for her hold to arrive back from Whitmore's storage. Until then, she carried her Mauser and a Colt 34A handgun, something she kept in her nightstand for emergencies. Of course, the hunting knife tucked into her boot remained loyal to the leather, and of course, her fists. While she hadn't been the most loyal to the shooting range these past couple of weeks, she'd been making use of what they provided in the gym, her second run-in with the punching bag going much better than the first. Since the calling, she'd gathered what little information she could of Astrid, things she already didn't know were added to the girl's write up Helga kept.
Until then, her preparing has brought her several places, first, to Captain Swann's room, where she wished to speak to the woman who'd shared her similiar concern for the situation in Berk. Unfortunately, she was one of the victims taken. She then turned to stop by Captain Amelia's room, where she wasn't in at the time. Helga would have to catch her on the way back. The feline-like woman must've had business to attend to on her own. Of course, the last person on her list was Rourke, and she hadn't had much to say to him otherwise, business remaining business in a time of crisis. Still, she rapped on the door, hoping he was in, if there was anyone she wanted knowing she was gone, it would be her Captain. ]
