[As the Academy started to dissolve into chaos on the evening of the voodoo festival, one member of staff was conspicuous in her absence.
Elisa had returned to her office after talking to Lilo, intending to tackle some of the paperwork that seemed to be permanently building up on her desk. She felt absolutely fine. More than fine, in fact. She felt strangely light. As light as she'd felt when Puck's magic had given her wings and a chance to flight on her own.
... really, that should have been a warning.
When the voodoo spell finally took hold, it did so with alarming speed. The midday sun was still shining through the window. Elisa, in a gargoyle form that was both familiar and unfamiliar, was frozen into stone in the act of picking up her communicator and broadcasting a warning.
Someone had taken advantage of Lilo's harmless game and used it to cast real spells - dangerous spells - on the residents of the Academy. Given when had happened to her, Elisa already had a good idea of who that person was. As soon as the sun dipped below the horizon and she managed to wake up - and that was an experience unlike anything else she'd ever felt before - she snatched up her device.
Her new talons made it difficult to make the post private. Before she succeeded, Elisa accidentally broadcasted a few seconds of her hasty - and increasingly angry - attempts to lock the post.]
[Private to Puck]
