[The library has been missing a statue during the day, as Goliath has found a new building to sleep on. In the early evening he returns, browsing the shelves and assembling quite a pile of research - mostly having to do with the fair folk, when they do not have something to do with the Seven Deserts

[Came familiarly smooth and confident voice. He appeared in front of Goliath, his head tilted as he gazed down at the page of his Castle.]
The texts are woefully outdated. They only tell the history of Destane's rule. Shame, isn't it? [Something about his tone implied that he didn't mind -- Especially with the Gargoyle poking around for information.]
Of course if you're curious about my many weaknesses, I'm sure we can come to some sort of arrangement. [The sarcasm was thick, yet cheerful-sounding.]

[He snaps the book shut, displeased at the interruption by one he would like to, but cannot presently, bring to justice. But the more Mozenrath hangs around Goliath, the more chances Goliath has to catch him in a mis-step, so this is not a confrontation to turn away from.]
Of course, if you would like to air your weaknesses, I know many who will listen.

[He rubbed at his chin, casting his gaze upwards as he pretended to think.]
I'm a sucker for those tropical drinks with the little umbrellas in them. Oh, those films with a couple overcoming adversity so they can live happily ever after? I cry every time. [He mock-sniffed.]
Beautiful sunsets, fluffy kittens... heart-shaped chocolates. Oh, I can't continue... my heart is fluttering far too much.

[By the look on his face, smiling would crack it.]
Is there something I can help you with?
[Maybe by delivering his eulogy? If you're gonna have one, it might as be delivered by someone with an awesome voice, amiright?]

Goliath starts laughing.
It's a genuine laugh - but not a very nice one.]
And I am so afraid to be hated.
[Oh, whatever will he do if *that* happens?]

Oh. Yes. I'm sure you are.
I wonder if you'll laugh about it so hard behind bars.

I assure you, if you are innocent, you have nothing to fear from justice.
[And if he's not - well that would depend on the nature of his crimes.]

And if you are innocent, it would suit you to for the law to investigate, and clear your name.
[His expression has not changed, and his grim, searching expression is markedly different from the barely-contained rage of their previous meeting.]
Though I cannot think why an innocent man would attempt to threaten an officer of the law out of fulfilling his duty to uncover which accuser speaks the truth, unless the truth was not in his favor.
Perhaps you might tell me why a princess is the first you suspect in bringing your name to keepers of the law.
[After all, Goliath never said anything about Jasmine.]

Investigate away, by all means. You're wasting your time reading about my Kingdom, but it's your time to waste I suppose.
She, and her ex-fiance are always the ones I suspect. They have a long-standing grudge with me.
