[In the days following the lifting of the Mist, the school had been chillingly quiet. Everyone was still feeling the pressing effects of the Mist's wake, and many students and staff had left... The academy was uncomfortably silent.

Mr. Trent hadn't been very well off, either... the Mist had taken a heavy toll on him, scrambling his mind in ways only notable to himself.. Certain memories were fuzzier than they should have been, and he was having a hard time remembering his name. ...Both names, actually. It worried him immensely, but rather than keeping his thoughts on it all, he sought refuge. He'd spent hours and hours on end in his music room since he parted ways with Megamind and Roxanne, playing every tune on every instrument that he could.

With relief he found that he remembered it all- as he began playing, the muscle memory would come back to him, and the tune would return. It gave him a sense of being in the right place, a solid peace and sanctuary from all of the previous madness. The door to his room was open, music flooding out into the halls- everything from the twang of a banjo to the pleasant strum of a ukulele.

Eventually he turns to his favorite acoustic guitar, and begins to play a song.. Not one he'd written THANKFULLY, but one he'd grown fond of..]

[He sings the lyrics to himself, not nearly at the same quality shown above.. but he's not exactly terrible.(Though that may be subjective) It's like shower singing, it's unbridled and free, he honestly doesn't care who can hear him. Occasionally his notes slip and go off-key, but he keeps going. He doesn't care about being perfect by any means, right now.]
