[Theres a noise, something organic and raw. The ground shakes a bit and you will be jolted out of your sleep. Get to a window and you'll see a flicker, the fence which has stood strong and proud against the black mist... the strangelings.... it's flickering.

[Rapunzel is so confused, clutching her few precious belongings to her chest, Pascal on her shoulder and looking around warily. She doesn't quite know where they're going, but she's following everyone anyway... But she wants to know where Flynn and her mother and all her friends are.]

[Astrid is so lost as to what is happening... an ungodly noise in the air, people everywhere- a familiar face! Rushing over she grabs the girls arm.]

You- you're, ah- Rapunzel! Do you know what's going on?

Ah-- A-Astrid, right??

[She grips her belongings more tightly] I... don't. And everything is going so crazy...

[Somewhere, amongst the panic and fear, that voice tugs at Astrid's heartstrings. This girl hasn't grown up surrounding by dragons, she hasn't been made to face possible death as training. She's probably twenty times as terrified as Astrid is, and for some reason, that hits hard.]

Yeah, I'm Astrid. Just calm down, okay? It'll all be fine, we're just... being taken somewhere safe. Is there anyone you need to say good- to speak with?

Right... Right... [She takes in several deep breaths in an attempt to calm herself, closing her eyes for a second. She can feel Pascal press against her neck to help soothe her, making a soft whirring noise.]

I... My mother is working here, I'm sure I'll see her... But- Flynn. I-I should find Flynn.

[alwaysaxefirst]

Okay, just stand over here. [ She leads you over to a wall which is slightly off from the commotion.] I have to go find someone, but I'm sure you'll be able to see him from here. The idiot will likely make a lot of noise anyway. [She rolls her eyes.]

Just don't let them move you until you've seen him.

[letdownmyhair]

[She nods slowly as she moves over that way, but she still looks uncertain.] Okay...

You... haven't seen him, have you, Astrid?

...I ah... I haven't. But you will see him, okay? I have to get going now, hang in there!

A-Astrid, wait!!

[Buuuut it looks like she's gone. Better get back to focusing on finding Flynn.]

[Oh, a familiar face! She goes running at him for a hug]

Megamind! You're safe, too!

[oh wow a hug--he hesitantly hugs back, he really is rather glad she's all right]

Yes--I'm safe..[he pulls back] You need to get down in the bunkers, Rapunzel.

I- I know, but- I- I have to find Flynn first...

..Fine--but you can't take long. You two will be separated--the Mouse's orders. All right?

[letdownmyhair]

[She blinks up at him in surprise. He's actually letting her...?]

[Then she smiles softly, putting a hand to one side of his face and pulling him down to plant a tiny kiss on his cheek.]

[And then she takes off on her search.]

[he stares, touching the place on his cheek where she kissed him, in pure shock...he gets his senses back, there was something else--lifting a hand]
