[Ramirez had
managed to call a decent group, and Helga had given her first set of orders.
The students and staff who had responded were to sweep the grounds, keeping in pairs at least. They were to find everyone. Staff and students. The students were to go to Hoover, told to stay. After they were sure they had all the students accounted for, the teachers retired to Joe West, with its spacious common room.
After doing another count, to be sure all the staff were present, Helga nodded. No one was missing.]
Without the comms working, this is the only way we can all talk together.
We can't just sit around waiting.
The Mouse gave us new maps, and the only place those passages can be is underground. We need to find them, figure out what they are.
[She paused briefly.]
And the buddy system we've always had the students hold to? We need to enforce that. Reorganize rooms temporarily if we have to. No one should be left alone at any time during this. The risks are too high.
That includes us.
We aren't immune to this threat, we all know that. So we need to stick together. Two, at least. Three or more? Even better.
[She generally didn't give orders. She usually passed them on. But this wasn't a usual situation, not in the slightest.]
Questions?
(For a basic summary of the situation, go
here. I very much encourage a mingling post set in Hoover for the students... and for any delinquents who want to slip out.)
