[Megamind had left - he'd left despite her arguments to the contrary - this was NOT the time to be roaming about the school (that silly, aggravating FOOL), but he hadn't listened. He was as stubborn as she was, and despite her frustration it was something she could admire about the man. She'd fallen silent and sullen when he left, arms crossed over

He had been doing so well since all this started--but now that he was alone...
He winces, glass shattering somewhere over his left shoulder. Logic screaming at him, it's not real--he needs to keep going--
And he was nearly back, a turn from that blasted hall, back where he actually felt safe for some reason...it might have been just--being around more people--but...those two..he needed to get back to them..]

[She heard glass shatter herself (was it real? There doesn't seem to be anything on the ground in front of her but she could swear it was right there, right by her--) and it jars her concentration and she freezes right there in the middle of the hall, palms pressed firmly against the wall behind her. He could only hope that they had somehow found each other and could make their way back- they knew where it was.
Still, the concept of WAITING AROUND while the others were potentially in danger was absolutely maddening. The distant screaming he was hearing before was chillingly starting to sound more and more like them- and he desperately wanted to run to it. Fly, even. But he kept his feet planted on the ground, anxiously keeping an eye out for either of them down the hallways. The second he sees one of them, he'll go to help. But until then, he's going to follow the plan. And try to ignore ( ... )

An eternity later, the handle turns and Roxanne steps through, looking like she got hit by a mack truck and dragging Megamind along behind her, fingers twined firmly with his.]

[Now it's HIS turn to be upset. His tone is extremely worried, with a bit of sternness. He really IS like a dad, gosh..]
