[It's January Sixth, and the Academy has undergone a very dramatic change.

The Quad is packed with stalls painted in bright colors, patterned in stars, moons, flowers and whatever else the canvas's owner might like. The chemists' stall has toads painted on it. Go figure.
Flags flap from the spires of the tens, ribbons tied from roof to roof to create the illusion of boundaries. There's live music coming from different stages around the stands, and jugglers and clowns wander through the crowd.
It's not as big as the Carnival in Paris that's happening right now, but Clopin has organized as best as he can to put on a show everyone can enjoy.
The puppeteer himself is in his gold and purple jester costume, singing just as enthusiastically as ever. Since he's still recovering from Facilier's dream training, he's keeping to the ground as much as possible, only clammering on top of stuff if he hears trouble coming through the crowd.
A word of warning; Frollo's guards normally do security for the Festival of Fools. Without them, Clopin has ordered all his Truands to keep their children as busy as possible so they stay out of your pockets, but that just makes the kids bitter. The Festival is one of their biggest earning days of the year and with that gone, their annual income has shrunk by a painful margin. Watch your purse and pockets, and make sure everyone who doesn't have a stall of their own has their hands where you can see them. ]
