Ummm...

Christmas is over I guess. I got everyone presents and hid them in my room because that's what somebody says Santa does, or whatever.

And now I can't find them sooooo...

Well...Mr. Blake might not be teaching here anymore, but I've still got my beginner magic textbook and I've learned some things. Maybe I'll be good enough with magic one day that I could transform us back and forth from mermaids to humans.

Probably not...unless we can convince him that a lot of the humans we've met here are decent people and that it would be good for diplomatic relations. Or something.

Well...normally it's only Ariel who argues with Daddy about anything. If we're both insisting that people at the Academy are good too, it's something.

No, I mean...I took magic class so that I could learn to undo the spell on Ariel. But she doesn't show any of the signs of being under a spell at all.

Then consider who told us about the spell and Eric's plans in the first place. Arista? I think we got suckered.

Well, think about it for a minute. Eric wouldn't be able to breathe underwater unless he had a neverending supply of whatever that potion Ariel got from Mozenrath is. And I seriously doubt he does.

The Sea Witch on the other hand...she and Daddy don't get along. She likes power. She can breathe underwater and I bet she would take over Atlantica if she had the chance to.

I already thought about that. Once Eric had Ariel he could make Daddy do whatever he wanted, including turn him into a merman.
