Much like Russell, Simba had taken to exploring the the campus to learn his way around and see what it had to offer. On his way back to his room himself, the young cub was in the middle of a very big yawn when notices the mancub dashing in his direction.

Smiling playfully, he bounded over in the other child's direction to run along with him. "Where are you going in such a hurry?"

Continuing at a jog, Russell turned to Simba.

"I-I lost something!" he replied, words punctuated by huffs and puffs as he ran. He pointed in the direction of the botanical gardens. "And it's getting late, so I wanna look for it as quickly as I can!"

That's right, there was a curfew. But Simba was too intrigued now to turn back. A time limit, something to find...this would be fun.

"I'll help you!" He said with a giddy tone as he kept up with the child easily as he padded beside him.

"You will?! That's great!"

He slowed to a walking pace. They weren't far from the gardens now.

"Have you been to the student store yet? It's my school uniform in one of the bags from there."

"Sure!" It wasn't like he had anything more exciting, or better, to do.

Simba slowed to walk beside him. "No, I haven't. But I should be able to smell it if it's nearby."

"It's gotta be nearby," said Russell, holding the door open for Simba. "I know I had it while I was in here, but..."

The cub prodded through while Russell held the door open for him, lifting his small muzzle to sniff and see if he could smell anything familiar to the boy.

"We'll just have to retrace your steps."

"Sounds good to me!"

Russell paused, thinking back to earlier that day. Now, which parts of the garden had he visited...?

"Well," he began, "the last place I passed was this pond over here." He pointed to the pond in question. "And before that I was walking around the trees that were nearby it."

Simba prodded over to the the pond, looking around. "You didn't go in the pond, did you?"

"No, of course not!" he replied, looking perplexed; "Why would I do that without a swimsuit? I'd get my stuff all wet."

The little lion had yet to find out what a swimsuit was, but he let it pass, shaking his head. "Ok then, let's try the trees."

Russell led the way, walking through the path of trees and looking back and forth for his uniform. No sign of it yet, but the area was looking familiar--it had to be around here somewhere.

"Remember, it's in a bag!" he said, turning back to Simba, "I think we're getting close, I remember walking through here!"
