[Instead of doing his homework like a good boy, Sora is out trying to figure a way to beat the heat.
It's in The Quad that he notices a very large fountain. In his mind, the water is cool. It's always being filtered, right? That means it's not constantly in the sun which, in turn, means that it's cold!
This seems to be sound enough logic for Sora to make his next decision. He does a sweep of the area, making sure that no one's around... then makes a run for it. He jumps with a cry of "Hiyah!" which is followed by a rather loud splash. Yeah, that's right. Sora totally just jumped into the fountain.
But he's unfortunately disappointed. The water's warm and now he got his clothes all wet for nothing. Dripping wet teenage boy, anyone?]
