[The video feed turns on to show a bright pink, fluffy teddy bear with a welcoming smile. He looks a bit tattered and messy. Dead bugs, mud and a couple of stains speckle across the front of his body, and some strange rings of matted-down fur mark his wrists and ankles. He leans against a wooden toy mallet like a walking stick, holding the communicator in his other hand. He begins to speak, in a strangely deep voice for his cute appearance- he sounds like a prison warden rather than a child’s toy.]
Well, howdy, academy. [He gives a small nod] The name’s Lotso-Huggins-Bear, but please, just call me Lotso. I just got here a while ago. It wound up takin’ me longer to get here than I’d have liked, but- [laugh] I’m a bit more worn out than I used to be.
But let’s get right down to business, shall we- I’m yer new Leadership skills teacher! Staff, I’m awful glad to be working with you here, and I’m hopin’ I get to know y’all soon.
Students, I’d just love seein’ some of you in my class. Leadership is one of the most useful skills you can learn in your life- it’ll help you work a lot of people to common goals, become a confident public speaker, and with such dangerous times lyin’ ahead- it’s important to know how to work together in case of emergencies. And shoot, even if you don’t need to take my class, my door is always gonna be open if you just want someone to talk to.
But first, I think I'm in need of a decent cleaning.. There wouldn't happen to be anyone out there with strawberry shampoo, would there? I'd appreciate it if someone could give me a hand with that.
Be seein' you all.
[He gives a small wave and a smile as he ends the feed]
