ANNOUNCEMENTS
I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to make this post, but to be honest, a little part of me felt like if I did then there would be no going back. I'm being a big melodramatic here, but this community has meant so much to me these past two years and while I didn't have time anymore to keep it running, it was sad to think about closing it down. It's kinda depressing that so many communities have died in my hands (animation elite, d challenge, disney_create, d levelten, disney awards, and now it looks like disney2020 and wdlims are headed the same way)...
I've been really busy with school and finishing my degree and unfortunately, that's the main reason why I haven't been around on LJ as often. Next year, I'm going to be travelling to China and doing a bit of teaching as well as visiting family and given China's strict online bans, it's unclear how much of LJ I'm going to be getting.
That being said, I've decided to leave the community on an extended hiatus though truth be told, I'm not sure it will ever be fully back. Ideally, once I return from China in July, I'd like to have everything up and running again.
I'm going to leave the position of mod open to anyone who wants to take over. Just leave a comment here letting me know and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Because I put a lot of hard work into the running of this icon challenge, I'd like anyone who does take over for me to be an active member of the Disney community and preferably someone with experience on LJ, not necessarily running a community since I didn't have any when I started this. You do need to have a bit of free time on your hands as coding for voting and such can take quite a while.
I will post the voting for the last challenge, Challenge 22, some time in the next month so to all of you who still have open claims, feel free to enter one last time. We currently have 7 entries.
Lastly, I want to say thank you to all of the members that have made this community soooo successful. Really amazing group of people and iconmakers we have here, a round of applause for all of you. ♥
