Onto part twooooo~~
And I heard her out. Maybe it wasn't my best idea. But no one ever accused me of possessing particular intelligence. This was my dream. And to have someone believe me...someone with the power to actually do something, was an opportunity I could not miss. Come submarines and leviathans and nosy "sweet" doctors, I was in for the long haul. I had known, always, that I was right, but everyone has underlying fears. To find those tunnels, deep under water, was a discovery that left me breathless. And it would only get better. I had thought I was dead. At least I would die ecstatic, but I still dead. The closest thing I'd ever seen to those massive full body masks was...well...something Mayan? Don't ask me why I was thinking about Mayans when I had spears pointed at me. Then their leader saw the large cut I had on my shoulder, and pulled up his mask. He was a she, with long white hair, a single gold earring, and massive blue eyes. I flinched backward, feeling more blood soak my shirt. When her soft, warm hand touched my bloody shoulder, my first thought was a silent prayer for my blood not to darken whatever pure world she came from. A world I would soon give my heart to. Skip ahead, and picture this: I'm standing on a cliffs edge, listening to these Atlantans rattle on in their own language, my linguistic brain going a mile a moment. Yes, that was definitely Latin...and a touch of Welsh, yes, but very much Latin based, what with them using gastro and con. The next thing I knew, I had put it together. "Parlez vouz francois?" "Oui!" And that was contact. I'd done it. We got our welcome, and we were ushered inside the city. I climbed a mountain with the white haired woman and listened to her every word, but still had endless questions. Why did all the Atlantans have such complicated names? Kidamasnaga...what's wrong with Jane or Elise or something short and concise? Though I couldn't deny...Kida suited her. I am far from demanding. I'm not even stubborn. And apparently, I'm not terribly sneaky either. Kida had no trouble creeping up behind and abducting me. "You are a scholar, are you not? I can tell by your lack of physical strength," she said as she swiped my glasses and proceeded to try them on herself. "You must tell me all about your world." I snatched my glasses back. Without them I was blind. "I don't really know what to tell you about it..." I trailed off. How could I talk about my own world when I was in a totally new one? Her half smile dropped off her face, and suddenly she was serious. "What kind of world do you come from, where a woman needs to dress as a man to get the respect she wants?" It took her words a moment to sink in. They did very suddenly, with a shot of adrenaline that made me want to piss myself. "Shhh!" I glanced around frantically, but thank heavens, we were alone. "How did you even know?" I asked, wrapping my arms self-consciously around my chest. She smiled mysteriously. "I am over eight-thousand years old. I know a woman when I see one. "

I really liked this chapter! :D Milo is super cute, and Kida's reaction was adorable!
And, it's alright friend! LJ can be weird sometimes. Do you have an account by any chance? Because, if you do, if you copy and paste your chapter into the visual editor, and fiddle with it until you like how it looks, then click on the html tab, and copy+paste that into your LJ comment on the meme. :3

Well, if you don't want to, basically every other blogging site would also work! As long as there's a "fancier" (for lack of a better term) editing area, where you can click buttons to bold/italic/etc. and then a way to grab the html, you'd be fine- tumblr, dreamwidth, even making it a fake post on ao3 would also work! As long as you can get the html. :)
Hey. It's me again, the filler. I have some bad news. Due to the shitty nature of apple in general, my ipad has decided to reset itself. In the process, I have lost everything I wrote in the past two years, including the rest of this fill. I may or may not re-write it, but I'm not really sure if my heart will be in it a second time.
