Phineas and Ferb: Phineas/Ferb, asexuality issues

Phineas/Ferb. Phineas is asexual and Ferb is not, but they have always been, are, and will always be the most important people to each other. When Ferb cannot go without sex any longer, he finds people with which to satisfy the need - Vanessa, Irving, other characters the author might wish to include - and then he comes back to Phineas. Cue Phineas being tormented by the fear that Ferb will sooner or later break up with him and the naggering thought that Ferb wastes his life with him, someone so completely uninterested in sex that he only ever goes as far as tender kisses and cuddling. Cue Ferb thinking a lot of different things about their situation. How will it resolve? Possible bonus: other characters' reactions to their being an item; maybe some tactless questions about their sex-life (Buford would so totally do that) that make Phineas cringe. Preferably, they boys have recently finished college and are now working in some creative-scientific field(s) as young and brilliant specialists. But if the author sees thm at a younger age, I'm all for it, too.
