You know, questions you'd like answered, random other bits of fluff, discussions about how thus-and-such pairing rocks way hardcore ...

That would probably be a good way to play it. And bloody pests as well, considering that they impinge on the food stores that the dragons haven't taken. And they don't speak the Berk language, but they probably don't recognise it as Arendellen because it'll be a serious dialect by now, pretty changed, and a lot of them live pretty much solo anyway. Like, Elsa's hardly seen anyone since she was eight years old, so she's probably forgotten quite a lot of words altogether. Speech in general will be pretty rusty. They certainly won't talk coherently when they've got a bunch of angry Vikings demanding to kill them.

To give him a teeny fragment of credit, everyone wants a night fury. Not just Alvin and Dagur, but Snotlout and even Stoick seem pretty jealous at times. (Worst in Show and How to Pick Your Dragon respectively.) Though Stoick seems to 'grow out of it' somewhat over time.

Gah, now I'm sort of racking my brains over what age to make Elsa. Hiccup is about 14 in the first film, I think? Just far enough into puberty for it to be clear he's not gonna bulk up. *snorts* And for his voice to have broken. I don't want to have Elsa all the way at 21, but I think she can be a bit older than Hiccup. Maybe three years older, so Anna is Hiccup's age? But I don't have enough of a handle on Anna and Elsa's parents to write them, which would mean killing them off earlier. And making Hans seem reaaaally creeping for macking on a teenage girl.

(Which, you know, Hans is creepy. But not macking-on-14-year-olds creepy. This isn't Game of Thrones. 15 I could maybe sway, 16 would feel better. Maybe if they plan to get engaged on her 16th birthday? And Anna thinks that's all fairy tale and romantic. So Anna is less than a year older than Hiccup, Elsa is somewhere around three years older.)
