Umm I was just looking through some prompts today and I didn't expect to write anything this quick but this prompt got me and I kinda had to do it. I have no idea what this is, but I decided to post it before I chicken out.

Many things could be overheard at the marketplace, Ariel quickly learned. She listened - losing her voice somehow made her much better at that - as the two human men talked about something fascinating, while Eric was fixing the carriage's spoke.
(Apparently she wasn't the best with handling the reigns. Oops!)
Her eyes brightened as the men whispered.
It was easy to sneak away for a minute in the kingdom's hustle and bustle, while Eric was giving her the tour, and get the special medicine the humans were talking about.
It was even easier to slip it into Eric's drink that night, as he introduced her to all his sailor friends. They laughed as he started to stumble, and slapped his back when Ariel helped lead him back into the palace.
"Sorry," he slurred. "Don' know what came over me."
She smiled, wide eyes gleaming, and helped him to his bed.
Her fingers ran through Eric's hair as his breathing started to slow, eyes blinking closed.
"So beautiful," Ariel whispered to the sleeping human.
Humans were fascinating. Enthralling. She slipped her fingers under his shirt and let her curiosity explore.
