Now We Can Stay All Day In the Sun...

[This is an AU where Rapunzel and Ariel are both sixteen years old, the latter never met Prince Eric, and Mother Gothel one day just didn't show up at the tower due to crumbling into dust out of Rapunzel's sight. Rapunzel finally took the courage to step outside, and Ariel happened to be swimming along a freshwater river...) - The Little Mermaid's hair was long, brightly red as Sebastian's crab-shell, and flowed in silken waves (ha) about the upper part of her person as she floated/'perched' in the water before a seated-on-a-rock Rapunzel. The Lost Princess's hair was just as silken-soft and thick as Ariel's own, but *MUCH* *long-ER*, and the beautiful golden color of the warm sun. (Save for *ONE section* on the right side of her slender neck: THAT was *cut ~VERY~ SHORT, and *earthy-brown*. It DIDN'T *TAKE AWAY her looks*, though, in Ariel's eyes.)
The Little Mermaid's and Lost Princess's eyes were big and sparkling/shining with long/thick fringes of lashes, but one pair was a deep sea-blue; the other was a bright shade of either grass or emerald-GREEN. And the latter's long/thick eyelashes and thin brows were a dark brown to match her chopped-off lock, while *the FORMER'S* were shaded *near-~auburn~* *RED*.
The Little Mermaid of Atlantica and Lost Princess of Corona were both slender and petite in build, sweetly curved in the right places (hips and chest), and possessed smooth, clear, fair skin. But whereas Ariel's complexion was that of porcelain-china or a pearl due to being born in the blue glow of the ocean, RAPUNZEL'S was more akin to the *sandy shore*, accented with roses in the cheeks and a light dusting of freckles all over (from what Ariel could see; the pretty pale purple-and-pink 'schluffer' over her upper body and legs). Rapunzel's face was slightly more round, making Ariel's own features look especially delicate- Ariel's lips were slightly thinner and near-to just as crimson as her hair, while Rapunzel's was a pink rosebud.
...But the two beautiful young female royals soon stopped inwardly comparing/contrasting with one another when intimate curiosity became TOO *MUCH* for them, neither caring *a BIT* that one had a *~fish-like~ tail* and *NOT* TWO LEGS like the other. In each other's writhing, intwined bodies, messily-mashing mouths, and grasping pairs of small hands tangling into flaxen/scarlet tresses, Ariel and Rapunzel found *FREEDOM* under the sun by the riverside.
