There was no smiting. It was only wishful thinking.

You can't threaten to smite people if they are going to have access to your food at anytime in your life. -.-

You should have pwned them hard. Or squinted and focused like your head was going to blow up like Hiro, and then gone "I HAVE NOW TRAVELED TIME THREE SECONDS INTO THE FUTURE!"

That would've worked, but your method was also quite satisfactory.
