"I don't want to eat little old women."
This is the earliest I have ever started my christmas shopping. Due to the fact that last year my package didn't arrive at my parents house until the day after Christmas; I'm being cautious. It sucks because I give them the sole responsibility to disperse my gifts. My sister and my three nieces took off back to Maryland before the package arrived so, my parents had to pay for shipping rates again to get it to them. I decided Seattle gift baskets for my aunt, uncle, cousin, and grandma. I'm putting them together myself and now am actually almost finished. I found some deals.
I'm pretty excited to join Megan and her family to go chop down a christmas tree next Saturday. I'm looking for a small ala charlie brown tree for my studio. Trying to figure out where I want to put it is a challenge. I've got my train and antique houses from the 40's to compass my tree....I need more space.
I've been eating pretty much nothing but vegetables again. Even though I will be eating turkey and pot roast for Thanksgiving I'm starting to wonder if I'm going back to being a vegetarian.
Rhett's kegger was interesting. Didn't get my special touching hay-ride. Damn. Maybe next time at his birthday kegger bash in Dec. We spent some quality time yesterday doing his laundry and watching my first david lynch film. I had no idea that guy was from everett. This explains a lot.
I really want to go out and shoot shit with my pellet gun. I've been pretty pissy lately. Just aggravated at no one in particular but maybe the holidays. I'm getting homesick again. I decided I need to start planning a trip home. Even though I want to go to Syracuse to visit Michelle ,with Jen, maybe the proper choice is to see my family. I keep thinking they can die at any moment. I should get my time in. I want to go home when there is a possibility of feet of snow. I will dig myself a snow-cave and sleep in the backyard. I'll shovel the snow and be thrilled for once and not find it a hassling chore. Shovel the sidewalk 3 times a day? Alright I'm in!!! Slide around the sidewalks or down the steps. Ouch but yay!
The band that I joined wants me to start bringing in my lyrics. They have plenty of music already finished and just need lyrical accompaniment. We still need a drummer too. This post punk band is borderline metal sometimes. That's Al's influence. It's pretty rad to be hanging out with 2 dudes that are friends with the members of Soundgarden and Tad. They have played with countless Seattle notable acts in small venues in various other projects they have had together. We are moving next door to the practice space seen in the movie Hype! We are in the building already but the one room they enter after the hallway scene is the one I'm talking about. I have a cheesy grin about this.
So how are things overall? Pretty much the same old same old. Drama has died down. It's pending winter. People are staying indoors, getting sick, or broke because of the holidays. I feel like I'm neglecting the Funhouse. It's been 2 weeks since my last appearance. They probably think I'm dead. I'll go next Wed. I promise!
