I want someone to tell me why it is, that everytime I start to think there are possibilities, there really is nothing. Nothing close to being something worth the time and effort I put forth on a daily basis to be, perfect. That's right, perfect. In the eyes of all these people, who really, dont give a fuck, anyway. They see right past me, right

I've recovered from emotional love pains as well. Some I still even think about or feel today, 12 years later. What helps? Usually thinking that I couldn't make them happy, and if I truly loved them, I would want them to be happy. So, search for someone you can truly make happy, as well as makes you happy. Once you find someone whom you can make happy, they'll be more than happy to pay you back by helping you deal with any problems you have.
9 times out of 10, when a person in a relationship gets the tingly sensation and feelings of desperation that only comes with love, only one person in the relationship has those feelings. The person without those feelings wants them too, so they leave in search of someone who can provide that. It's extremely rare when both people have those feelings, although, also from experience, even these rare cases can be doomed for other reasons.
And finally, a bad analogy:
Suppose you bought a brand new computer. It does everything you want, and makes you happy. You install programs onto it, keep personal files and records, customize settings, making it even more perfect. However, down the road, you discover it has a faulty component. Maybe the memory is bad, or it catches a virus, or some other problem rears it's head. Given the happiness this computer has given you, the time you've invested in it, and all the things you've done to customize it, it's usually in your best interest to fix the small problem and go on. In the case of some 'bad' relationships, it's possible you may find the computer has so many problems that might not even be it's fault (a 2 yr old spills a drink on it, an angry teenager smashes it with a sledgehammer, etc.). But as a result, you have no choice but to ditch the computer and buy a new one... starting from scratch, wasting countless hours fixing it up, and sometimes taking this opportunity to fix things up differently.
