Disneyland Weekend~

9/3/11 (Disneyland)
Today was a very special day at Disneyland and half of it was spent having one huge adventure with Peter Pan.
I stopped by at Blue Ribbon Bakery before any adventures happened since I was pretty much starving. Bought a butter biscotti and blueberry muffin.  Rachel and I headed over to Coke Corner so I could eat there, but instead we spotted Peter Pan with Mary Poppins and Bert. I'm not entirely sure what was going on...someone was supposed to be telling a story, I think. At one point, Peter grabbed a leaf and used it as a mustache.

Met up with Hali and Chauna at around this time too. Peter flew back to Neverland about an hour later. While I waited for the next adventure to begin, I finished coloring in his drawing. I was originally going to give it to him without the color, but when I woke up this morning, I decided it needed color. So yeah. Color.
Saw some more friends! Brianna, Scott and Robert. Peter came by the wishing well at around 1:30 or so. He played a game of hide and seek over at Plaza Gardens. There was also storytime when he made someone read him his own book.

He took us all over to the wishing well for another game of penny tossing into the wishing well. After spending some time there, an hour had already passed and it was time to head over to Musical Chairs. To avoid the crowd following him, Rachel and I quickly bounced our way over there. This game of Musical Chairs was ridiculously huge, but there was definitely a good reason for it. Sadly, pretty much every picture I took in that area didn't come out all that well. But hey, it was fun to experience. I'm not really allowed to get into detail about everything that happened though....just know that it was bittersweet. In the end, Peter won the game. And no, he didn't have to put away all of the chairs. After the game, Peter stuck around and did a reaaaally long meet n greet. During that time, I got a few photos with him. One of me, him and his duck and then another with Chauna, Rachel, Hali and I. Also gave him his drawing since he preferred that I kept the duck so he wouldn't get bored in Neverland with him. Mr. Duck will miss him dearly. After quite some time, Peter eventually made his way out of Coke Corner, ready to fly off to Neverland one last time.
"Well....goodbye!"

Over 3 years of adventures and memories.
Another closure to another chapter.
The rest of the day was pretty casual. Watched Soundsational, spent TONS of time at Coke Corner, watched the swing dancers at Plaza Garden, checked out the new plaque at Golden Horseshoe of the original Revue and watched Fantasmic!
Sadly, I lost my Bad Horse button on Splash Mountain. It's pretty small so the chances of me getting it back are unlikely. Pretty sure it fell out in the log. This isn't the first time one my buttons have popped off, so i'm thinking of just taking them all off my bag. Don't wanna risk losing anymore.
Anyways, that was our day. Quite an adventure. And the adventures will forever continue.

9/4/11 (Disneyland)
Today was a pretty laidback day. Pretty much all of my friends were blocked out, so Sunday Crew wise, I was the only one there. I pretty much just lived at Coke Corner when I got there. Got to see my friends Alan, Peter and Robert. Before Musical Chairs started, I went over to the wishing well to do some sketches. At one point, things got a bit awkward. I was sitting across from the well just sketching along...when I HEAR THIS SCREAM IN FRONT OF ME. WHOAWHATHAPPEBEDWHAT'SGOINGON.
BAM.
Proposal.
Everyone nearby was clapping. Heck, I was happy for them! But...I didn't know what to do. I figured it would be more awkward if I just got up and left the area, so I tried to kinda hide behind my sketchbook. Now it was just me and them. Ahhh perfect. I slowly managed to crawl away  so they could have the area to themselves. Makes me wonder how often proposals happen at Disneyland, it's not the first time i've witnessed one. As I started walking away, I noticed that Star Tours still had fastpasses. That's weird...it was 2 PM. Fastpasses are usually gone before noon. I headed over there, figuring the fastpass times were probably for around midnight. To my surprise, it was from 4 PM to 5. Not only that, the standby time was just 35 minutes!! IT'S 2 PM. WHAT IS THIS?! I figured the ride HAD to have been closed earlier in the day. Later in the day, I found out it was closed due to the 5k marathon. Glad I stopped by! I got lucky! I headed back to Coke Corner and pretty much lived there for a few hours. Watched Musical Chairs, watched Ragtime Robert, talked to Peter, sketched, etc. About 30 min. before the 2nd showing of Soundsational started, I fled off to the Emporium to do some shopping for a friend. Headed over to Tomorrowland to do some shopping over in the Star Trader. Before I did that, I used my fastpass for Star Tours. I looked around the Star Trader afterwards and noticed they were selling action figures and mini posters for each Star Wars film in honor of the blu-ray set being released. It was $40, though. Blargh. I spent some time in the Starcade and played a game of Galaga and Ms. Pacman. I got to level 22 on Galaga and...somewhere past the 3rd act on Ms. Pacman. Not sure where. I got far enough. Went back to Star Trader, bought what I needed and then went on a photoshoot around Disneyland. There was this awesome sunset happening and it made Tomorrowland look super pretty.

I decided to stop by Plaza Gardens and take a few photos around the area there as well. I really do love that little area, not too much looking forward to the princess stuff moving in. I'm sure it'll still be quiet during the evenings though, plus i'm glad they're not like...closing that area so it's strictly for the princess events. I still miss being able to go up into the old Disney Gallery in New Orleans Square. I would hate to completely lose another quiet area. I headed back to Coke Corner and talked to my friend, Robert. A friend of his came by who had a fastpass type thing that could be used for any ride in the park. It was good for up to 6 people and they only had 5, so Robert invited me along for yet another trip on Star Tours. This flight was RIDICULOUSLY jerky. I was being flung around the entire flight like a ragdoll. Even lightspeed was intense! I loved every moment. Afterwards, Robert and I headed out of the park to meet up with some friends. Erin was one of these friends! We all sat around outside of the park (across from the guest relations area) and talked about pretty much whatever, mostly 90s nostalgia. I then learned that Erica was at the park today! Erin and I planned on meeting up with her over at Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar. Erin and I headed over there and discovered that they were showing an outdoor screening of Toy Story 3. Apparently, anyone was allowed to watch it. A cast member would give you a blanket and you could just sit out on the lawn and tune in! Erin and I just stood in the back with the cast members are cried throughout the ending of the film. It was touching. :p
We then explored through the Frontier and Adventure towers, which were both pretty interesting to explore! Erica had then finally arrived! Apparently, anyone underage wasn't allowed to sit INSIDE the bar after 8 PM, only before. Well, great...i'm...kinda the only one that's underage, haha. I felt bad. We all ordered drinks and sat outside. It was pretty great. I at least got to see some of the inside. It's pretty fancy! I'll have to stop by again before 8 PM sometime. Since this was Erica's last day at Disneyland for a LONG time, I said my final goodbyes to her. I'd miss her a lot but I was excited to hear about her adventures at CalArts! I'm glad I got to see her one last time before she left.
Finally left at around 11:30. An ending to a perfect day. Now I was exhausted!
Sleeeeepysleepsleepsleep....

More stories to come later!
