You thought I stopped writing these? Never!
7/25
It was the day after Comic-Con and my brain was still drowning in it all. I spent the day sharing stories with friends, uploading photos and some videos as well. I slept in for most of the day too, I was pretty exhausted. It was a great night for TV. New Adventure Time, new Regular Show and then the start of “The 90s Are All That” on TeenNick. My friends on Skype and I watched it together. The current lineup is All That, Kenan and Kel, Clarissa Explains it All and Doug. Judging from the promos, I assume they switch up the lineup every….month, maybe? I cant’ wait till they start showing Are You Afriad of the Dark? It was great to actually see all of these shows back on the air again. It’s weird to imagine that there are people that didn’t grow up on these shows in the 90s. Honestly though, I didn’t watch very much Kenan and Kel back then. The theme song always turned me off. XP I LOVED seeing clips from various 90s promos. It just…makes me miss the 90s, haha. Disney Channel needs to take some serious note of this block. It was a nice 2 hour trip back in time, I’m glad It’ll be on every week night.
7/26
Slept in again today. Freaking Comic-Con killed my sleep schedule…not that I really had one. Today, I read through the Animation Magazine that I stole from Rachel. I’m seriously thinking about subscribing…it’s just, it’s kinda costly. I dunno, hopefully in the future. I realized that I still haven’t seen the Winnie the Pooh film…kinda need to get on that soon. Discovered that one of my favorite artists on Deviant Art (also an animator and has worked on some Disney comics) was at Comic-Con. She was there along with the creator of Darkwing Duck! I was so bummed out that I missed them! Bad timing, I guess. In other news, my Freakazoid shirt is being used as a night shirt. It’s a tad bit big on me so that’s why. I love it to death, though. Did some more research on Scott Shaw! and discovered that he was the first Sonic the Hedgehog comic book artist. Kinda awesome, considering I love those comics and own quite a few of them. My video footage from the Regular Show panel was getting a LOT of attention on youtube. It was almost kinda crazy, but I was happy that people appreciated my video quality, haha. Ended my day by watching more 90s Nick, cooling down with a shower and attacking Rachel on Skype a bit more.
7/27
Seriously don’t remember what today consisted of. Umm..gonna guess here. I uploaded some Comic-Con photos to face book, played more Mario Kart and…read some comics, maybe? Since it was a week day, I watched 90s Nick. But uh, I don’t recall anything memorable happening today. Just another lazy day, pretty much.
7/28
What did I do today…iiii have no idea what I did today. I know I went to Denny’s and had that sexy Chicken Deluxe Salad, I’m addicted to that stuff. Oh yes, I played Mario Kart 64 for hours. Since I had to go off and get a new cartridge, I lost all of my old data. I wanted my gold trophies back! Finished reading Flight vol. 1. I’m in so much love with it. I need to find time to buy/read volumes 2-7. I’m glad these are all just random little stories, I can start volume 8 with no problem. This inspired me to start a new comic series of my own. I have so many ideas. My comic-con adventures, Sunday Crew adventures, Dream adventures…the list was almost endless. I decided I wanted to do a weekly strip series based on my adventures at Comic-Con, not just limited to San Diego. Talked to Rachel on skype for a few hours as usual and then played Mario Kart 64 until I passed out.
7/29
Ever since I found out that Netflix was raising their prices, I decided to make a huge list of movies that are on instant to watch before I switch to just ordering the DVDs. That’s pretty much what I spent all day doing. Just…watching movies. I watched Night of the Comet, Coral Reef Adventure (which inspired me to doodle some) and then…I watched a few movies that drove me absolutely insane. Howard the Duck and Garbage Pail Kids. Why would ANYONE even LIKE those movies? I shudder at the thought. Aside from movies, I headed out to get some Subway and yogurt. Discovered that our old Main Squeeze smoothie place was being replaced with a jewelry store. Here’s a fun fact about my life…EVERYTHING I LOVE GETS REPLACED WITH JEWELRY STORES. JEWELRY NEEDS TO GTFO OF MY CITY. MY LIFE. IT…JUST NEEDS TO GO AWAY. Aherm…so I ended my fun night by watching the Nostalgia Critic’s new Ducktales video, which I enjoyed quite much.
7/30
Ah, today was a fun day. It started off innocently. I was watching Revenge of the Nerds on Netflix. About 20 min. or so before the movie ended, my computer shut off. Oh, great. So I turned it back on and got a mini blue screen of death. Crap! *turns computer back off…turns it back on…computer scans…shuts back off* This went on for awhile…to the point where it didn’t even stay on for 5 seconds. I let my computer cool down a bit before continuing. I read a few comic books while I waited and then turned my computer back on and ran a few scans. The internet was working fine but it wasn’t reading my external hard drive (I wanted to make sure my stuff was safe). After I refreshed my computer, it worked completely fine. Gave me quite a scare, though. At least now I was able to finish watching my movie. I loved it, by the way.
7/31 (Disneyland)
It was time again, Disneyland auditions! Lots of my friends got pretty far…not including me, haha. But hey, that’s fine. I was super excited for them! Rachel, Jack, Megan and I drove to a few places before deciding to head inside the park. The first thing I did was get a fast pass for Star Tours, that’s what I always do now. Jane was at the park today too, it’s always nice seeing her. We spent time with Snow White (bumped into Peter Pan a bit too, he came over and talked to us before running off), watched the new Soundsational mini-drummer-show (which I really enjoyed, especially since they played Block Party Bash music)…and then I ran off to Splash Mountain because it was starting to get kinda warm. Thanks to single rider, I got on pretty fast, and the water helped me cool down a bit, but it didn’t last long. I met up with the others and then Stephanie and I met up with Rachel at the wishing well. Brooke joined us too. Then Jane. Maybe a few others? Like I said, I really don’t remember. I know Peter Pan stopped by again when it was just Stephanie and I. Hm…oh, and Hatter and Alice stopped by for a bit too. I think Jane got distracted by Fairy Godmother while the rest of us went to visit Jessie in Tomorrowland. Katie and Steven found us shortly afterwards. Stephanie, Rachel and I went off to Musical Chairs while the others went to Pizza Port. After the game, we went to California Adventure so I could get pictures of the stores that were closing down for good the next day. It’s seriously crazy watching DCA change so much. The Golden Gate Bridge was already taken down. Rachel went to sleep in the Animation Building while Stephanie and I headed back to Disneyland after I got all of my pictures taken. We joined the group for Soundsational. Blake joined us too, which was a lot of fun since I seriously can’t remember the last time he watched a parade with us. After the parade, we sat around in the Opera House to get out of the warm weather. Rachel eventually came over and joined us. That’s when we got word that those at the auditions didn’t make it, sadly. So they all came over and joined us. *notices she didn’t take pictures the rest of the day* Hmuh…okay, well now I DEFINITELY don’t know what I did the rest of the day. Heather and Rachel dozed off in the Animation Building after the 2nd Soundsational while I pranced around with Katie and Steven and joined the rest of the group over in New Orelans Square. A wild Jade had appeared, so I attacked her. Stuck with the group up until they decided to head over to DCA for ElecTRONica. I didn’t much feel like walking over there, so instead, I went to Tomorrowland. My Star Tours fast pass wasn’t till 9, I thought about seeing Captain EO…but then I remembered I was kinda starving. So I took the train over to New Orleans Square and got some dinner at French Market. I think I waited too long to eat, since this just made me feel a bit worse. I bumped into Blake there and talked to him for a tiny bit. Soo, the food was amazing but now my stomach was hurting. I made my way over to Coke Corner and kinda just passed out on the table while I listened to Ragtime Robert play the piano. Once it became 9:00, I headed straight to Star Tours. It’s funny, the jerkyness of that ride made my stomach feel a lot better. Well…until I had to escape the firework crowd afterwards and get out of the park. That’s never any fun. But I managed to light speed my way outta there and meet up with Rachel and Heather so we could head home after a long day of fun and excitement.
8/1
Heather and I slept in like we always do. Then again, yesterday made us super tired so at least we actually have an excuse. We didn’t get up until it was time for her to leave. Had to let her out of the house. Today I learned that stepping outside in your bare feet is not a good idea during the summer! They caught on fire and I leaped back to my precious indoors like a wild gazelle. Spent the next few hours talking to Rachel on skype. And then I learned some wonderful news! Okay, so we have these neighbors that live at the top of our backyard slope. Well, I guess they were trying to pour some water out of their pool (it’s inflatable) and it ended up escaping them and coming to us. 5,000 gallons of water flooded our backyard. But hey, it’s all good. They invited us to their pool party this Saturday. Sounds like a good deal, I plan on going. It’s always good to make some new friends, right? Plus their aware that I’m an artist and want to tell me all about their connections. They know some people who would die to have hand drawn animators. I then continued to watch movies on Netflix. Today, I chose Gumby: The Movie. Used to watch Gumby when I was a kid, I still love it. I discovered that John R. Dilworth worked on it. He’s the creator of Courage the Cowardly Dog, by the way. Once the movie ended, I headed out to Stater Bros. to stock up on food. Also bought a special collector’s edition of Nintendo Power. It came with 10 posters! I also learned that I LOVE vanilla protein shakes. Once I got home, I tuned into the fan-picked episodes of Phineas and Ferb. Then tuned into Adventure Time and Regular Show. Spent 30 min. doing who knows what until it was time for my 2 hours of 90s Nick. Then it was time foooorrr…looking at apartments! It’s my favorite game. I found a few nice ones in Riverside. Now I just need to get the permission to move out. None of my parents want me too. Boooo. I then decided to put together my fantasy school schedule. If all goes the way I want it to, then I’ll only have school Monday-Wednesday. Mondays would be full, consisting of Zoology, Drawing and then my humanities class. Tuesdays are pretty empty, just 2 hours of English in the morning. I figure I’d just stick around at the school until my parents can pick me up during their lunch break. I figure that’d be good for me. Too many distractions at home, I could take this time to get some work done. Or practice drawing. All I have planned for Wednesday is my drawing class. I quite this schedule. I’ll be a VERY happy student if 1) CalArts accepts my choice of classes. 2) I get accepted into these classes. Ended my exciting night by watching Happy Days.
8/2
Didn’t do much today. Looked through the galleries of some newly discovered artists on DeviantArt. Put me in the mood to draw…though it also made me feel like an inferior artist, haha. Though, some of the drawings I did throughout the night pleased me. I did a drawing of Fuzzball from Captain EO that I think came out rather nicely. Had doodles and sketches of pretty much anything that popped into my mind…or whatever was on TV. Some drawings of Doug, Quailman, various Disney characters, myself, Fry from Futurama, Sonic the Hedgehog, Pee-Wee Herman…just kinda everything. Then my mom came in and told me I had a doctor appointment the next day. Figured I should sleep early…but no, I stayed up till 5:30 AM or so. Now I was just hoping that I wouldn’t be tooo tired later…
8/3
Made it to my appointment, wasn’t too drowsy. Nothing worth talking about, it was boring anyway. Visited the new video store that was built in my area. It was no Blockbuster. The selection was kinda eh, but it wasn’t terrible. My mom had the nerve to tell the owner that I wanted to work at a video store so I could slack off, which is NOT true. So any chance of working there is now gone. >_> Pissed me off. Once I got home, I treated myself to a tuna salad and watched The Incredible Mr. Limpet. A bit morbid now that I think about it…but uh…well then I watched the 60s version of Little Shop of Horrors. And then the fun began! I went on a huge deleting spree on DeviantArt! All of those little notebook doodles I did in High School or anything that was an eyesore to look at were now gone…which was like half my gallery. I felt a lot better once it was all gone, though. Now I just need to focus on getting some new artwork posted to make up for it. I felt a bit bad that I deleted so much Foster’s stuff, so I spent the rest of my time practicing drawing the characters again and watching the episodes. Drawing those characters were a lot easier than back in…what? 2007 or so? Eduardo was a bit difficult, but he came out nicely as well. Passed out after practicing.
8/4
Something exciting today! One of my friends got hired for Walt Disney Television Animation!! I’m SO excited for her! In other news, I spent my day sketching out a new Foster’s drawing to color and then watched Kick-Ass on Netflix. LOVED it, by the way. Now I need to read the comic. Had Jack in the Box for dinner (tried one of their chicken salads, way better deal than what Denny’s has to offer) and a root beer float for dessert. Pee-Wee Herman announced that the secret word of the day today was cowboys, which Rachel kept repeating to me throughout out skype chat just to get me to scream several times, haha. I watched “Follow That Bird” and totally cried like a 5-year old during the scene where he’s painted blue. It kills me. It’s still a great movie, though. Stayed up for several hours during the night just playing video games and looking for any cheap SNES games to buy online. I REALLY want TMNT 4: Turtles in Time but it’s so hard to get for a cheap price. At least by my standards. Thought about getting Street Fighter 2 but I couldn’t decide on getting the original or Turbo. I’ve heard people prefer Turbo…but I dunno. Ended up finally passing out a bit past 7 AM.
8/5
So, my goal was to fix my sleeping schedule so I can actually, y’know, get up at a decent time. Weellll, that didn’t work out. I woke up at 5:30. Didn’t actually get out of bed till 6. My day was pretty nice, though. Got some ice cream and watched the new Phineas and Ferb movie. Loved it, by the way. Watched TV and did internet stuff the rest of the night. Nothing special, really. Same ole, same ole. Now it’s almost 3 AM and I should probably try and get some sleep, but I’m not tired at all. Blah.
8/6
So, sleeping earlier than usual didn’t work out…PLUS my alarm didn’t go off. Fortunately though, I woke up an hour before the party! I was looking forward to this all week! I’m not entirely sure why…it just sounded really exciting. While I was waiting for my mom to get ready, I sketched out the Cantina Band (well, at least one of them) from Star Wars. I then noticed it was 1:30. I checked to see if my mom was ready. Nope. Not at all. The party started at 1! I waited an extra 10 min. before I finally decided to just head over myself. (Me): Look, I’m just gonna head over there. I’ll see you there. (Mom): DON’T. DON’T YOU MOVE. (Me): …iiiii’m headin’ over. (Mom): DON’T. (Me): Yeah. (Mom): DON’T YOU LEAVE. (Me): Yah, I’m goin’. *does so* And leave, I did. I felt so much freedom with every step I took to get to that house. There’s something magical when you disobey your parents…like, actually go through with it. It was amazing. Oh! Look, I’m at the house. Hm. Well, these neighbors don’t really know me. Like…at all. They might know my mom, but she’s kinda well…she’s not here. Uh, no sweat. I could just tell them I’m from down the street and that I got invited. That’s enough to be accepted, right? I walked up to the door and noticed a note that said “Come on in!” …I rang the doorbell anyway. Sounded like a trap. The door opened and I prepared to explain myself…but instead, they excitedly greeted me and tossed a lei around me. Oh okay, so this is clearly Hawaiian themed…or maybe they’re just really friendly people…did they even know me? They sent me to their backyard with everyone else. I slowly walked out into their yard. I had no idea who any of these people were. I slinked over to the lemonade and awkwardly stood there and sipped away. Everyone was sitting and talking amongst each other…then there was me…standing…alone…sipping. I noticed an open chair and thought about maybe sitting there. If I could sit down, I could sketch…and that should get me some friends, right? Well, it was worth a try I suppose. I walked over and asked if I was allowed to sit there. Nobody heard me…so, I asked again. They told me I could…but they said it in a tone as if it were obvious. Or not…could’ve just been me. Ithoughtsomebodywasmaybesittingthereandididn’twannataketheirseat…okay, so I sat down. Great! Progress! I whipped out my sketchbook and started drawing. That’s when…someone asked me who in the family I was related to. “Uhhh…wull…actually I kinda live down the slope…I was invited.” They accepted it just fine. Yay! Eventually, my mom finally made her way to the party and the world became less awkward since they knew who she was. That’s when everyone also realized who I was. “Hmyeah…I was wondering who that random girl was.” Haha. The party was tons of fun! Lots of flies. Everywhere. Flies. 400 flies. I didn’t eat much because of that. The food was amazing, though. I made a few new friends, some new fans and even talked to this guy who wants me to come up with some designs for a few t-shirts. Now I just hope he doesn’t find someone better, haha. I drew out a drawing of Spongebob and Gary for the fun of it and gave it to these kids. They loved it tons, they showed me the painting of Spongebob that they had in their room and then showed it off their other friends. “Daaang…you drew that? You’re better than my art teacher!” I adore compliments like that, haha. We were at that party for a good 3 hours or so. Walked back to the house and I double checked the showings for Winnie the Pooh at the AMC theater over in Ontario. Sadly, that was the closest theater to me that was actually showing it. Downtown Disney wasn’t even showing it! The film started at 7...it was now 6:30...we live 30 min. away. Plus parking was crazy. We decided to just wait for the 9:00 showing. We walked around the mall to kill time. I thought about getting some shirts at Hot Topic, since they were having a sale. Buy a shirt, get the other 50% off. I was considering a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles shirt and a Nyan Cat shirt. Well…the Nyan Cat shirt was being blocked by a bunch of girls. My thought was “FFFGRRRR GET OUT OF MY LIIIFE *TABLEFLIP*” but instead, I went to look at what was on Clearance. Nothing good. I glanced over at the Nyan Cat shirt. Oh, good! The area was cleared. I started walking back…when the girls came back and blocked it again. “STEP OFF. STEEEEP OOOOFFFFF.” I just left. I don’t need these shirts. Saving money is better! Erm, that is…until I got to the Disney Store. Freaking Disney and their adorable character designs. They had these plush toys of Copper and Rabbit. I needed them…one of them…BUT THEN THERE WAS TRAMP. I ran over to my mom and dragged her over so she could help me decide. (Me): Okay so, I saw Copper here and he’s the most softest, cuddliest, adorable plushy ever! And it’s Copper! You don’t see much of him. (Mom): Okay, get Copper. (Me): But…but then there’s Rabbit. I picked him up and he gave me the most saddest eyes…and that adorable little smile! How could I say no to Mr. Droopy-Earsssss?” (Mom): OKAY, GET RABBIT. (Me): BUT THEN….THERE’S TRAMP. SO PERKY AND EXCITED AND LOVABLE. THE HAPPIEST THING EVE- (Mom): FINE, WE’LL GET ALL OF THEM. (Me): …but we should save money, I mean…this is a lot. We should just get one. Look, I’ll go with Rabbit. I mean, we’re seeing the movie tonight so it makes sense anyways. *grabs Copper* (Mom): *doesn’t let go* (Me): …*grabs Tramp* (Mom): *doesn’t let go* (Me): …someone’s attached. (Mom): Well…look at Tramp…he has that look you were talking about…happy, perky….I see it…we need it in our life. And Copper…like you said, they don’t sell much Fox and the Hound merchandise. Now’s your chance to get it. (Me): ………you’re not helping this situation at all. Let’s just get Rabbit. (Mom): NO. I WANT TRAMP. AND WE’RE TAKING COPPER TOO. (Me): BUT THAT’S A LOT OF MONEY. (Mom): WE’RE TAKING THEM.
So, we took them…but since their sale was buy 2 for $28 and we had 3, we ended up putting Copper back. Maybe he’ll go on sale in the future. For now, Rabbit and Tramp were now part of our plush family! We all headed to the theater to watch the movie. The theater was pretty empty. 2 other families and a small group of teenagers showed up. But we were all one giant giggly mess throughout the entire movie. I was pretty much crying and giggling the entire time, all while hugging Rabbit. I adored absolutely everything about that movie. Even the Nessie cartoon before it! The animation, the music, the voice cast….just everything, I was in love with it. It was how Winnie the Pooh was supposed to be and it makes me so sad that it didn’t do as well as expected in theaters. Hopefully the DVD sales will be way better.
8/7 (Disneyland)
Today’s Disneyland adventure started off with just me. Rachel was sick at home and I don’t think anyone from Sunday Crew was at the park yet. I did what I always do and made my way to Star Tours to grab a fast pass. On my way over, I noticed Alan was at the piano at Coke Corner. I wanted to stop by and say hi…but ya know…Star Tours. So, I got my fast pass and then bumped into Stormtroopers. I followed them around a bit before heading to Coke Corner for a small while. Mr. Rachel found me there and we ended up meandering off to Fantasy Faire. We stayed there for a few minutes and then Mr. Rachel ran back off to Main Street. I decided to stick around to see if Kevin was there. Steven and Katie then showed up and surrounded me. We ditched Fan Faire and went to Tomorrowland to visit Jessie who was supposed to be working Astro Blasters. We didn’t see her outside so we figured she’d be inside. It only had a 15 min. wait, so we figured it wouldn’t take long. What was exciting was that I got to level 5! My highest yet! Sadly, we missed Jessie. I then headed back to Coke Corner to wait for Musical Chairs, plus I got to talk to Alan a bit, so that was nice since I haven’t seen him around in awhile. Also talked to a few other friends in the area. During Musical Chairs, Jenni appeared! After Chairs, we both headed straight to Tomorrowland to wait for R2D2 to come out. Everybody got together to try and find him. I let out a little squeal the second I saw him. Regardless that I see hundreds of R2s at Comic-Cons, seeing him at Disneyland was just so…MAGICAL. I followed that little droid everywhere like a zombie. Even got my picture with him! At one point, Foulfellow came out of nowhere and passed by R2. WHOAWHAT? We followed him instead. Jenni headed off to meet up with a friend really quick so Mr. Rachel and I spent time watching Foulfellow. He was being silly. He would wrap himself in his cape and then fall asleep for a really long time. Anyone who came up to him was either really confused or amused. We got a kick out of it. Mr. Rachel and I decided we should poke him for a bit, but he never did anything. Once a big enough crowd formed around him, HE SNEEZED! AND THEN EVERYBODY SCREAMED! It was so much fun, haha. Now there was a giant mob trying to get his autograph or whatever, but instead, he pointed at us and signaled us over. He seemed to like us, which was awesome! After the mob left, he even came over to say goodbye to us. =) Once Jenni came back, we bumped into Jessie! She was cool enough to get us on Astro Blasters without having to wait in line. Sadly, I didn’t get a higher score…but it was still fun! Plus, R2 was back out once we got off. Again, I followed him around like a zombie. Mr. Rachel headed off at this point. R2 raced a guy in a wheelchair, which was neat to watch. But then, bad things started happening! Jenni ended up losing her AP and $20. Not cool! We headed straight to City Hall Lost and Found, hoping that would help. On the way there, I bumped into Erin for a minute. Jenni and I ended up riding a bunch of rides for the rest of the day to make her feel better. Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Tiki Room, Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain and Star Tours. I’m happy to say it made her feel a bit better (Oh yeah…she got free gumbo!) We slowly started to make our way out of the park during Magical. Overall, it was an amazing day! Now I’m just hoping Jenni gets her pass back.
8/8
It’s a Monday and the day after Disneyland. Of course I didn’t do anything really worth mentioning. Although, I did finally register to take my assessment test. I have a feeling I won’t be able to get into any of my classes, though…I’ll be SUPER late to register for them. Plus I still need to e-mail CalArts to make sure they’ll accept any of my classes. Moving on! Umm…I watched this little Ewok movie. Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure. I had no idea this existed…I was surprised when I found out about it’s existence. OH! Here’s something exciting! One of my cousins is moving in with us! Pretty crazy, I’m a bit excited. I guess she’s a lot like me…does things at the last minute, likes traveling. Maybe it’ll be fun! The rest of my night consisted of ordering Pizza Hut, watching new Adventure Time (which was AWESOME by the way), 90s Nickelodeon and I FINALLY watched the Nostalgia Critic’s review of The Star Wars Holiday Special. I died laughing. And apparently, my computer is NO fan of the movie. It shut off during the review. >__> Speaking of Star Wars, I noticed my friends and I were in the background of a photo on the Endor Express website! Also discovered this super cool show that used to be at Walt Disney World.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLXZnWRjLCYI’m really surprised that I didn’t know about this show. But hey, now I do! Decided to sleep shortly afterwards.
8/9
Today, I discovered that Cartoon Network on demand actually has an awesome selection now. I originally just wanted to see if they had the most recent episode of Thundercats, but instead, I saw that they had Foster’s, Flapjack, Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, Powerpuff Girls and Dexter’s Lab. Oh, and the original Pokemon as well. Let’s see…what else did I watch today. The Pee-Wee Herman Show, All That, Kenan and Kel, Clarissa Explains It All, Doug, Beauty and the Beast…I had a gingersnap and oreo party during all of this, by the way. I went out to lunch earlier with my dad. He keeps yelling at me to apply for CalArts, only to tell me that I probably won’t get accepted. He also let me know that he won’t bother taking me to college this year, so now that makes getting there and back a bit difficult. Maybe he’ll change his mind when the time comes. He got on my back about taking 4 classes, I guess he thinks I won’t be able to handle it or something. He just wants me to take 2. Ugh, I just wanna get this general ed stuff out of the way as fast as I can so I can hurry up and focus on getting into CalArts. Grah. Okay. Done ranting. Let’s get back to the happy stuff! Oh yes! I watched Air Bud on the Hub. This movie makes me so nostalgic, I can’t believe it led to a bunch of bad sequels and “Air Buddies”. I decided to try and fall asleep by listening to the commentary for Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure (not saying it’s boring, I love hearing them talk!). Instead of doing that, I ended up finding some VHS tapes that my mom recorded from TBS back in 1993. I loved getting to see all of the commercials and stuff. Things sure have changed. I fell asleep shortly after watching Jetsons: The Movie. Not before I nearly passed out from heat, that was kinda crazy. Even with the fan and air conditioner on, I couldn’t understand why I was burning up so much at 5 AM! I thought I was gonna vomit or something. Fortunately, I managed to fall asleep.
8/10
So, my plan for today was to get some exercise and walk to Stater Bros., but since I ended up practically dying after my time travel to 1993, I played video games instead. Some Super Star Wars and Mario Kart Wii. Also watched some I Love Lucy. My dad then came to pick me up and take me over to Smiley Library so I could study my driver’s manual some. It helped being in that environment, I used to go there after school every Monday back when I was still in Elementary. Also checked out the Lincoln Memorial Shrine, which I’m pretty sure is haunted (then again, I’m sure the library is as well). It was kinda creepy being in the shrine, I think I’ve only ever been in there once. I was super young and thought it was boring as heck. Once I got back home, I tuned into the Hub and watched All Dogs Go To Heaven, one of my favorite Bluth films. At about 7:30, I decided to finally walk to Stater’s. It was cool enough to go outside and it wasn’t completely dark yet. Well, halfway to the store, I realized I didn’t lock the front door. Aah! I quickly made my way to the store for my vanilla shake. But once I got there, I noticed they were all OUT!! JUST the vanilla too! That’s when I noticed that there was ONE vanilla left, hiding behind all of the strawberry shakes. I quickly headed out to pay for it. I only grabbed a handful of quarters and assumed that would be enough. Turns out I had JUST enough. I used up every single one of those quarters to buy my drink. One less and I would’ve been screwed. I pranced on back to the house, which was safe as ever. NOW I made sure my door was locked. Now that I had my drink, it was time to sit back and tune into my 90s Nick shows, some Thundercats, the rest of my Pee-Wee commentary and Flight of the Navigator. Talked to Rachel for pretty much the entire time, but hey, I do that like…every night. Oh, D23 posted an interview by Paul Reubens discussing Captain Rex! I was so excited, haha. Well! Now that I’m FINALLY all caught up, I’m gonna continue watching Flight of the Navigator and eat some cookies. Gotta stay healthy and stuff! Haha.
LAAAATER DAAAYYYSSSS~
