My 19th Birthday

Had a lot on my mind today, mostly serious. About friends, Disneyland, myself...but i'm not going to get into that. I used the magicalness of the internet to get my mind of off things. When nothing seemed to be working, I watched a clip of Maximus from Tangled. It was the first thing that made me smile all day. Love that horse. Since it was a Monday, I watched the new episodes of Adventure Time and Regular Show on Cartoon Network, which were both equally entertaining. Spent pretty much the rest of the night talking to friends on skype, both about serious topics as well as silly. Once midnight struck, the drowning in birthday messages on facebook began.

Today was the day! The day of my 19th birthday! To think, next year i'll be in my 20s. Kinda crazy...but freaking awesome. Started off the day by talking to Jenny over the phone. She wanted to treat me out somewhere, but I couldn't think of anywhere to go. Plus my mom had taken the day off so I wanted to do something with her. I let Jenny know that if I could think of anything to do, i'd let her know. About 5 seconds after I hung up the phone, an idea came to me. Shakey's!! We wouldn't have to stay long anyway. I took a quick shower and then waited for Jenny to pick me up. We listened to a few Aaron Carter songs in the car for the lulz. His songs seriously crack me up. Jenny bought me a vintage Mickey keychain to replace the butterfly for my house key. Mickey definitely fits me WAY better. She also bought me the Disneystrology book i've been wanting since I first spotted it at Barnes and Noble sometime last year. We went to play arcade games for a bit and the prize guy decided to be super cool and give us both extra prizes for free! We even let him keep one, haha. Once I got back home, my dad stopped by to drop off his gifts. He got me Hercules on dvd and a Nintendo 3DS!! He wasn't sure what game to get me so he got Samurai Warriors Chronicles...which is a bit disappointing for me since it isn't my kind of game, but maybe i'd grow to like it. Who knows. Besides that, the 3DS is pretty much amazing. My mom ended up being too busy to do anything with me today, but she did make me a card and buy me a cake. She also got me a gift card for GameStop. Rachel and I then spent the rest of the night having an awesome time. We drove out to Citrus Plaza and had dinner at Red Robin. And by dinner, I mean root beer floats. Hooray for free refills! I also got to use my gift cards at GameStop and ToysRus. I bought Pokemon Black at GameStop and a Ghostbusters doll from the 80s cartoon "The Real Ghostbusters". I was hoping they would have Ray, but since they didn't, I got Egon instead. It's pretty nifty, I plan on eventually buying the rest of them. Rachel and I went back to my house and watched a few episodes of Boy Meets World while we ate birthday cake. I also let Rachel play Pokemon Black, which she got addicted to. Once Rachel went back home, I started playing Pokemon Black. Sleep was no longer an option.

Really though, sleep was seriously not an option. I was up till 8 AM playing Pokemon. Mostly training. The bad news of the day is that my mom broke my Clopin statue! His head snapped off...I was so sad. It looks pretty fixable though..but still. Fffff.
I couldn't help but cringe everytime I looked at my headless Clopin...so I tried to brighten up the situation some.

"And since I am dead, I can take off my head to recite Shakespearean quotations."
Hehe.
Found out from my dad that he was able to buy me the new Street Fighter game on the 3DS for $5, thanks to the help of Amazon credits! Pretty good deal, especially considering the game is $40. A little later in the evening, my mom and I drove out to Ontario Mills to celebrate my birthday since she couldn't do it yesterday. I bought tons of cool stuff on sale. Over at Hot Topic, I bought a Dexter's Laboratory button and an Epic Mickey cover thingy for one of my keys. At the Disney Store, I bought a Muppets t-shirt, Hitchhiking Ghosts keychain and a Disneyland 55th Anniversary Mickey toy, all for about $5 each. Had dinner at Rainforest Cafe. And yes, we did order the Sparkling Volcano dessert. :D Got back home and talked to some friends on skype. Loved watching a few of them nerd out over My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Which reminds me...I still need to draw some worthy fanart. But for now, I should get some sleep. This whole week has been crazy and exciting! And it's not going to end anytime soon.
Laaater days!
