i was delivered via aeroplane to Logan International on friday the 5th, collected by my mum and shuttled to windy & matt's in weymouth. i spent the first half of saturday on the patio holding miss Margaret who christened me in a healthy helping of baby puke.

the latter half of the day i spent @ 86 Sea Ave, i don't even think i can articulate how perfect it is ... i spent the majority of my time there in the backyard on a hammock-swing hybrid that my cousin Scotty had rigged in such a way that someone else sat in a second swing, so the two faced each other with a rope to pull & swing yourselves. and we just sat and talked and i had tea and watched the sailboats and the tug boats and wished i could jump from the roof and land in the bay.

later my aunt came home & was showing my mum around her gardens ... she always has a wonderful vegetable garden. i was sad that the peas had passed, but i cheered up when she showed us the blueberry bushes that were filled with ripe berries ...i climbed under the net and stood picking and eating & trading blueberries for raspberries & blackberries that mum & scotty were picking. there really is nothing like standing in a garden and eating vegetables & fruit that have been picked mere seconds before.

ended the night eating good food @ Louies.

drove to maine on sunday & had a lovely dinner by my dad. graham came over around 10pm. i tried to remember when i last saw him, but i can't ...maybe a year and a half ago. or maybe two. but the thing about old friends ..is that you can pick up where you left off. it could've been the first two weeks of the summer of graduation. we walked in the pitch black street to the pond and jumped from the stairs to the dock where we layed and watched the meteor showers until graham got cold and then returned home for a blanket and we crashed in the hammock until 4am, making up new constellations between lulls in the meteor shower. made our way inside when we started to shiver and went to bed.

i miss that kind of friendship.

loves, berry
