concert review: Honda Civic Tour 10/8/2011

Oct 15, 2011 18:15

hiya!...ok so two words to describe last saturday night:

FUCKING FANTASTIC!!

It was most likely one of the best concerts I've been to in a while. The Hollywood Bowl is truly a lovely place and it was lovely to look up and see the moon above you in the sky. Now Imagine if LA had cleaner air....stars would've been beautiful. Anyways we arrived about 2 hours before the show, we took the bowl shuttle service that takes you from different lots near the bowl for a small fee or free if you show them a metro red line ticket. Taking the shuttle is probably the best way to get there because traffic is scary when the show's over. So me and my friend carmen arrived and bought band merch before heading off to look for our seats. We also got free "tattoos" while heading to our seats.

now for the performances....

MATT AND KIM( picture provided by Carmen....i didnt take my camera....reason why..unknown)

I don't care what people say about this band...they were entertaining and funny. I heard someone complain behind me about how Matt and Kim were lame because of their poppy, electronica-ish music. Dude was prolly jealous because they wish they had Kim's buff drummer arms haha. I liked this band, they had two songs i actually liked ( Carmeras and Daylight), Kim stopped and brought Mark Hoppus (blink-182) on stage ( who showed up with a vader mask) and did a little dance on stage...it was funny.

My Chemical Romance ( provided from Carmen...once again i think i should get one of these cameras)

this is where the fun began. When they started playing Planetary (Go!), I knew it was time to dance haha. I looked off to the side and there were people coming in with these huge colorful beach balls?..balloons? that they released into the crowd, it was very fun to see people bounce them up into the rest of the crowd. They never passed them to our side...oh well :/. My Chemical Romance was great as always...and when they played "Cancer" everyone's cellphones and lighters looked amazing ; v ;.

Blink-182

As much as I love MCR...I honestly have to say Blink-182 was one of the best performances of the night ( and maybe the best I've seen at any concert i've been too).  When they played their older music, I was reminded of my youth hahaha. They were just awesome, they had cool graphics to go along with the songs they played. They were very funny, especially the banter between Mark and Tom. DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE ENCORE FFFFFF....TRAVIS FUCKING BARKER DRUMMING LIKE A BAMF WHILE HOISTED ON A CRANE THAT WENT OVER THE CROWD AHHH.

seriously best night ever, really needed to go to a concert like this to break away from schoolwork and etc...hope you enjoyed this little review....i was going to put up a couple of other pics i took with my phone but the uploader thingie is being mean to me at the moment...i'll post those later.

Also...I believe that I've never sang my heart out so much or so loudly...than i did at this concert...i might've sounded horrible since i couldn't hear myself too well from the loud music...but you know what...
