Incredible India Part Zero
I'm currently in Jaipur.
Not so sure what I want to write at the moment - my notebook contains a flurry of frantic thoughts and scribblings. India really is crazy and boy, the contrasts!
It really hits you and doesn't give you anytime to breathe or react. Pockets of magic and wonder coupled with sheer horror and disgust. The splendour and majesty of the Taj Mahal one moment, then a boy takes a crap on the side of a busy street the next.
I have no idea what to make of it.
And I haven't felt fear in a long time. Not fear of the unknown, etc, but the fear that you were really going to die. And I had this experience twice (once in Kashmir and the other enroute to Jaipur) already. I've only told dear, but I'll blog about it at length once I upload the photos. But I must say, after traveling quite a bit, none has affected me as much as India has.
