Decisions
Opus IV has come and gone. Will there be an opus V? I still don't know yet...nor is the decision any easier. The current batch gave me a thank you card and a huge stuffed banana (private joke). Whilst this is not new to me, this one was particularly hard to read and it really plucked at some heartstrings.

2009 batch
The stuffed banana :P
Well for the inquisitive - I have a banana and some yoghurt (sometimes muesli or other similar) for lunch. It was a joke in 2009 that I started; if students were late, they had to give me a banana (no apples or oranges for me!). One fine day, a student really brought one. And so the tradition began...
Supper after opus with the 09 batch. They find it strange to not have to call me Mr. Sim anymore. I kept ensuring them that it was fine! I feel happy that the graduates are all going forward with their lives and one student from each batch wants to come back to teach music. Hope its a good thing - or it could be that I'm doing such a lousy job they're coming back to take over!
